*Hmm...since we've mostly interacted in the context of RfA, it shouldn't be a surprise that my review is focused around that. Not that that's a problem, I hope! Look, to be honest, if you were to put an RfA in right now, I would probably oppose. This doesn't mean I don't want you to be an admin - you seem like a good guy and I'm sure one day you'll be an excellent admin - you already do good things for the project. It's just that sometimes it feels as if you're hurt too easily, and something I've learned in my time here is that a thick skin is essential in adminisih areas, and in disputes in general.
I noticed in your Q2 answer here you've mentioned one of the opposers...I'm fairly certain I know who you're talking about (Starts with D?)...trust me, he doesn't want to cause you stress, he just wants to make sure that you'd make a good admin, before you're given the tools. And sometimes some people are harder to please than others, but that's OK. Gaining the community's trust can be tough, but it's worth it in the end!
You've said in Q1 that you've been creating dab pages and redirects - that's useful, obviously (or we wouldn't have those pages!), but are there any articles that you've really done a good deal of work to? I edit music articles a lot and this may not apply to you, but take whatever song you're listening to as you read this (or whatever song is stuck in your head!) and find the article for it, or the album it appeared on. Just try and improve that article as much as you can! Add reviews for the album/song, look for interviews with the musician on how they made it, etc. Pretty soon, you could have written a Good Article (and if you need help with this, I'd be happy too...I spend a lot of time around the ] and I love working on them with others), and GA work is something RfA participants really like to see. I know I do.
In conclusion, I don't think you're quite ready for adminship just yet, ''but'' I think you have a good attitude, and one day you'll be a great one. You just need to show the community that you're serious about the encyclopedia - improving articles and all - and also that you're mature enough to deal with the stress that comes with adminship and disputes. A final word - please try to avoid using the phrase "hurt my feelings". It really doesn't reflect well on you in most cases, even if you're feeling that way, it's best to keep it on the inside, or at least, off Misplaced Pages. And if someone is causing you stress or hurting your feelings, just step away, and go do something else like edit an article or whatever. You don't need to go to AN or anything like that - in fact, that can create more stress, and this should be a fun project! :)
Cheers, '']'' (]) 01:10, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

NHRHS2010

NHRHS2010 (talk · contribs) It has been a year since I created my account, and I would like to hear from other users on how I'm doing and if necessary, what I can do to improve myself. This is my first editor review. These days, I am busy with school stuff and getting ready for tests so there are days that I make a few or no edits. But if I am active these days, I mainly revert vandalism, vote on RfAs, and make necessary redirects on articles about airports. NHRHS2010 | Talk to me 22:42, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Reviews Impressive amount of edits. However people might question the quality rather than the quantity of your edits should you submit yourself again in an RfA. I suggest that you also look at doing Did you know, Good articles and Feature articles. --Lenticel 22:14, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

  • Hmm...since we've mostly interacted in the context of RfA, it shouldn't be a surprise that my review is focused around that.
Pretty soon, you could have written a Good Article (and if you need help with this, I'd be happy too...I spend a lot of time around the GA areas and I love working on them with others), and GA work is something RfA participants really like to see. I know I do.
In conclusion, I don't think you're quite ready for adminship just yet, but I think you have a good attitude, and one day you'll be a great one. :)

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Misplaced Pages, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I am pleased to be in Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Airports and make redirects to airport articles, like redirecting Plattsburgh Airport to Plattsburgh International Airport. Also, I have created several disambiguation pages if I find more than one airport with a similar name. I have also been taking pictures and uploading them on Commons so that I could place it on Misplaced Pages articles.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Yes I have. When I had RfAs in the past, I had plenty of oppose votes that hurt my feelings. One of the opposers have continued to cause me to have stress. However, I have dealt with it by talking with other users and using WP:AN.
  3. How does an Rfa, where one does need to heckle (you have yourself, don't deny), cause stress? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tnayin (talkcontribs) 09:41, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
An RfA can give me stress when there are number of opposes on my RfA. Some of the opposes (especially strong opposes) can be hurtful to me. I feel like those users don't even want me to be an administrator.
  4. Do you think any users commenting in your RfAs have misunderstood or misinterpreted anything you've done, and if so, do you have any comment on these misunderstandings? What have you learned from them, etc.? dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 01:10, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
