Sport recruiting website Rivals.com has ranked Evans as the No. 2 point guard in America, and reports that the colleges Evans is most likely to play are the University of Memphis, Villanova University, Saint Leo University, and the University of Phoenix.
However, as of April 6, 2008, it has been reported that Evans is instead to choose between Memphis, Villanova, and Seton Hall University
Evans was named the MVP of the 2008 high school McDonald's All-American game.
