Barrington College was a four-year Christian liberal arts college located in Barrington, Rhode Island. It is no longer in operation.
Barrington College was founded in 1900 as the Bethel Bible Training School in Spencer, Massachusetts. It was relocated to Dudley, Massachusetts in 1923 and renamed the Dudley Bible Institute, to Capitol Hill in Providence, Rhode Island in 1950 and renamed the Providence Bible Institute, as well as having purchased a 150-acre (0.61 km) estate in Barrington in that same year. In 1960, however, the Providence campus was sold.
Financially unable to continue operation after 85 years, it closed in 1985 and merged with Gordon College, in Wenham, Massachusetts. The Barrington Center for the Arts at Gordon is named in honor of Barringon College.
The campus was sold and was the site of Zion Bible Institute, until 2008.
