Stardust is a interplanetary spacecraft launched February 7 1999. In It flew by Comet Wild 2 on January 2, 2004. During the flyby it collected samples from the comets coma and took detailed images of the icy coma. Sample material will be returned to Earth with a capsule in 2006. Additionally the spacecraft passed within 3300 km of the asteroid 5535 Annefrank on November 2, 2002 and took several photographs.
