Homer gets Lisa a birthday gift that shows he knows absolutely nothing about his daughter. To make up for it, Homer hires a private detective to follow Lisa around and learn everything there is to know about her. But Homer refuses to pay so he and Lisa go to a hotel and disguise themselves. The cops find them so they escape out the windows to a circus.
