Timothy Britten Parker

Timothy Britten Parker is an American actor. Best known for appearing in the original Broadway cast of Rent and for originating the role of Doctor Dillamond in the national tour of the musical Wicked. Born in Iowa City, Iowa, and raised in Cincinnati Ohio, Timothy (also known as Toby) moved with his family in 1977 to New York to perform with his sister, Sarah Jessica Parker in the Broadway drama The Innocents adapted and directed by Harold Pinter. Soon after, he appeared on Broadway in the original production of the musical Runaways, which was originally conceived and mounted at The Public Theatre. Other Broadway credits include The Visit and Wicked He is currently reprising the role in the Los Angeles sit-down production of Wicked. He has also appeared in eight episodes of Law & Order as forensic detective Hoeck. Film credits include Quiz Show, Gold Coast, Joey Breaker and others.

Timothy is a founding member of Naked Angeles Theatre Company.

Parker is playing the role of Dr. Dillamond in the Los Angeles production of Wicked until May 11, 2008, and then he will advance to the Broadway production, playing the same role.
