Not to be confused with Broadford, County Clare.Broadford (Béal an Átha in Irish) is located in the west of County Limerick in the Republic of Ireland. It is part of the Roman Catholic parish of Dromcollogher-Broadford.
Historical facts
It has a population of about 1000, and is located 2 km from Springfield Castle, historically the local seat of power.
It is a relatively newcomer, having only appeared on Ordnance Survey maps in the late 1830s.
