• Don't worry about it. When I first started out, I had an article I wanted to edit, but when I wasn't editing articles I would revert vandalism. I suggest that's what you do. :) Some pages to check are Misplaced Pages:Vandalism, Misplaced Pages:Counter-Vandalism Unit, and Misplaced Pages:Template_messages/User_talk_namespace. When you revert vandalism, click the undo link next to the vandalism edit in the page history, make sure what you're reverting is vandalism, and save. Don't worry if you get an "edit conflict", that just means someone corrected the vandalism faster. :) When you revert vandalism, you also want to warn the user who made the edit. That's what the warning templates are for. Go to the talk page of the editor who made the edit and warn them using the appropriate template. If you want some examples of how to revert vandalism, see my contributions; there are several examples in there. (You can tell when I reverted vandalism by the edit summaries; if I reverted vandalism the summary says "Reverted edits by ___ to last version by ___". If I warned a user the summary usually says "Your recent edits"). After you feel comfortable with vandalism reversion manually, you may choose to use some scripts to help you (I use Lupin's anti-vandal tool because it's relatively easy to use).
• Don't worry about the article; someone already redirected it. I suggest that you don't copy and paste things from other pages, as then that violates Misplaced Pages:Copyright violations.

I think the problem with the script is that you need navigation popups for it to work. Put the following into your js file:

importScript('User:Lupin/popups.js');

That should work. Did you remember to purge the cache of the page?

If you want you can start manually (if that's so, you'll have to remove the scripts from your monobook.js page); that's how I started out. Midorihana 02:39, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Oh, the tool is Lupin's Anti-vandal tool. If you want an example of how to input the code, look here: User:-Midorihana-/monobook.js. All you need are these lines:

When you're on vandalism patrol, try check what you reverted; you might have accidentally reverted someone's correction to the vandalism (in regards to the VoA bot message). Hopefully that helps. :) Midorihana 07:36, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, but you can't use copyrighted images in your userspace; see Misplaced Pages:Userspace#Images_on_user_pages. The page in question is this one: User:Wannabe Wiki. If you check the image page, it usually has a description of how it can be used on Misplaced Pages; if it's copyrighted, you can't use in on your userpage or anywhere in your userspace. • Images: Click on the image so you see the image description page, which will resemble this page. There will be several licensing templates underneath the image; for example, Example.png has the GNU Free Documentation License and the Creative Commons license underneath it. However, if an image has a "Non-free / fair use media rationale" notice on it, then it is copyrighted. (for an example, see this)
• Vandal tool: Did you check the "Use non-admin rollback" button?

Hey, that's not too bad. :) Pretty good, I would say.

To put references in an article, you need to enclose your source in <ref>...</ref> brackets.

For example, if I want to back up my statement that "Plato was a philosopher", then I would use the code <ref>{{cite web |url=http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/plato/ |title=Plato |accessdate=2008-05-21 |format=HTML |work=Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy |last=Kraut |first=Richard}}</ref>. After that, you would create a new section on the page titled "Notes" and underneath that, put the code {{reflist}}.

It should resemble this:

Plato was a philosopher.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on User:Jimbo Wales. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. You seem to be a very interesting person. And, so is your user page. That "whose side are you on" picture is so counterproductive: the vandals' side looks so tempting. Kindly do something about it, if that's not what you intend (entice people into vandalism).

Viking Helmet

Adrian, for my history project should i choose: 1) Look at google images under embossed viking helmet, the first image. 2) The viking helmet on wikipedia called Sutton Hoo, the first image. 3) Look at google images under armory viking helmet, the third image. Which one should i choose? Respond by the end of Sunday please, because we need to print out an image of the model we are going to create. Also, did you see the comment on my page telling me my addition to the Aboriginal mythology page was inaccurate? Well, i dont blame them seeming as i was calling the system tokenism for the first five lines as opposed to the real name totemism.
