War on Bad Writing
1. There is no such word as "incivil." You can be uncivil, and you can be accused of incivility, but you cannot be incivil.
2. There is definitely no such word as "definately."

Why local?

Hi SlimVirgin,

I see you restored Image:Zigong People's Park Zoo.jpg, saying we should keep a local copy. I'm trying to wrap my mind around the various Misplaced Pages image issues and this was a new one to me. Would you mind enlightening me on the advantages of having a local copy of an image that exists on Commons?--Kubigula (talk) 04:35, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

That makes sense - thanks. Though I sometimes work the on-Commons backlog, I'm skeptical of the real benefit of those deletions. If the deleted local version is still available on the server, we can't be saving much space or processing power.--Kubigula (talk) 04:52, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Re

I replied at my talk page. I don't want to nag, but I noticed you deleted my question about improper deletions at Commons. I understand you may be annoyed with me for questioning the copyright on your uploads, but I was really hoping you could answer that...it's a serious allegation. Or were you incorrect? Kelly 17:21, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Just as a quick question, were you planning to address the copyright issues here? I noticed that you deleted the notice with no reply. I'd be happy to work with you, but if the answer is "no", I'll start tagging them immediately. Kelly 17:41, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Bad fair use of Image:Peter King book.jpg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Peter King book.jpg, by another Misplaced Pages user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Peter King book.jpg is an image with a clearly invalid fair use tag; or it is an image that fails some part of the non-free content criteria and the uploader has been given 48 hours' notification (for images uploaded after 2006-07-13) or seven days' notification (for images uploaded before that date). (CSD I7).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Peter King book.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
