The iPhone is a smartphone produced by Apple Inc. It was released as the successor to the iPhone at the June 6, 2008 WWDC Conference. The "improved" version of the iPhone includes a thinner body, a black plastic back instead of the silver polished back in the first version, solid metal buttons, an improved camera, a flush headphone jack instead of the deepened recessed jack in the first iPhone, and dramatically improved audio.
