BEng This user has a Bachelor of Engineering degree. I check in most evenings, and occasionally some days during the day. I am on UK time (I can see Greenwich Royal Observatory from my office). If you post a reply at 8pm EST and get no reply by 10pm, it's likely because I'm asleep. My wiki interests at the moment are limited. I still handle some OTRS tickets.

I am under considerable personal stress at the moment; my father died and I have a lot of other stuff going on in RL including a new job as senior engineer for enterprise storage and virtual infrastructure in a Fortune 500 company. Great job, lots of shiny expensive toys, big responsibility. But Misplaced Pages is still one of my top hobbies, and I come here to do what I can. I respond much better to polite requests than to demands. People who taunt me with "I dare you to block me" may have cause to regret it, as may I. Don't even think of trying to drag me into one of the many cesspits this project offers, I will likely choose only those disputes where I don't actually care too much. Not coming to your party? It's because I've decided it will make me unhappy. Sorry about that.

Above all, please do not try to provoke me to anger, it's not difficult to do, so it's not in the least bit clever, and experience indicates that some at least who deliberately make my life more miserable than it needs to be, have been banned and stayed that way. Seeking Advice on Personal Attacks and Incivility

How should I deal with this sort of thing: , , , , , , ? That's just June 2008 and just me. Similar kinds of personal attacks can be found about others (Jkp, AniMate, Jamesbeat) in this editor's contribution history. I took a wikibreak for a refreshing vacation and have come back determined to get these personal attacks and incivility stopped. Can you help? David in DC (talk) 21:07, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Censorship is defined as "deletion of communicative material which may be considered objectionable, harmful or sensitive, as determined by a censor" ] which is exactly what the above editor is doing. I am not the only one who is disgusted by this editor's repeated interpreting of BLP rules to require removal of well-sourced facts and then unilateraly claiming that his own deletions create a "consensus" justifying other deletions. Even though other editors have strongly rebuked both his bizzare interpetations of BLP and his repeatedly false cries of "consensus". See ] ] ] for just a handfull among many rebukes to this editor. Finally, we have this apt description of the user from nearly a year ago- "It's not appropriate for you to comment in such a manner on a deletion discussion. In future, please comment on the subject at hand and do not engage in petty trolling at every opportunity. Not sure what value of soon, perhaps not until after a business trip to Pune in September. In April I had one SAN and one blade chassis full of VMware servers.
