'''Youth Development'''
The club has recently undergone a revival in interest and membership. In the 2007/08 season, the club's first competitive Youth side created history by coming runners-up in the Dublin Metro U-18 League, at their very first attempt. The Youths achievements were such that RTE even filmed a short peice for prime time viewing on the team's exploits. (now available on You-Tube) The Youths section continues to grow, thanks to the committment of a dedicated team of coaches to maintaining the highest standards in youth development. The Youth section now has a committed group of 12 coaches, all of whom have attended, or will shortly be attending, the Leinster Branch, IRFU coaching courses.
The club will be fielding teams at u-14, u-16 and u-18 level for the 2008/09 season and look forward to similiar success in the future. Enquires from players or their parents can be directed to the Youth section of the club's website, who will be happy to handle all enquiries. Like their heros in the Munster rugby team, our young players are constantly aware that '''to the brave and the faithfull, nothing is impossible''.'

History
Foundation
Unidare Rugby Football Club was founded in 1958 out of the, now defunct, Unidare works in Finglas. During the foundation years (1958-1977) the club participated in the Business Houses Cup Competition and took part in friendly matches during the rest of the season. The club did not have their own grounds but, thanks to the generosity of Father Shields, were given the use of a playing field and dressing rooms in Blackrock College.
Business Houses League
In 1977 the Business Houses League was formed. At that time Unidare Rugby Football Club was given grounds in Unidare Industrial estate on Jamestown Road, Finglas. This was developed further by the club with dressing rooms, training lights etc. The club did extremely well in the Business Houses League, wining it for the first time in the 1980-1981 season. AIB had won the competition for the first three seasons of the competition. The club continued to participate in this competition during the 1980s.
A New Era
In 1990 the club lost its playing fields when Unidare plc sold the land on for development and the club was very graciously supported by Suttonians RFC and Malahide RFC for different seasons. 2005 saw Unidare RFC forming an alliance with Dublin City University Sports to play and train in the Ballymun grounds.
