DISILLUSIONMENT

during university studies an exploration of consciousness and conscience led to a complete disconnection between personal life and social attachments and institutions, and a reorientation of values, career, and integrating a strict dedication to integrity, spirituality, occultism and philosophy. the period between 1982 and 1991 were spent at a now defunct non-profit organization called the "California Library Authority for Systems and Services" (CLASS) supporting libraries and information systems. he worked there full time to support his part-time university attendance and contemporaneous personal studies.

TYAGI NAGASIVA

nagasiva's Saturn return occasioned a re-dedication of his life to the goddess Kali with a change of name, divestment of many worldly goods, and pilgrimmages to forests and local spiritual centers. on 1991-9-19 he married his Goddess and became a neo-tantric monk, a (western) tyagi, continuing his spiritual and arcane education and building altars and a temple dedicated to Kali in the suburban co-operative household he helped to foster with his family and friends.

HOUSE OF KAOS

for almost a decade the shared, cooperative household served as a meeting and support center for witches, mages, mystics, the religious and esoteric of various types, and the occasionally needful friend who partook of the generosity of the group assembled there. irregular presentations by religious and esoteric leaders and representatives of numerous organizations and institutions appeared at the House of Kaos, where a lending library served as a fount of inspiration and education for all who came together under its roof.

MILLENIAL MARRIAGE

after a pilgrimmage of several hours attempted and failed more than twice, tyagi arrived at the home of catherine yronwode, with whom he had shared a few emails and telephone conversations in anticipation of their meeting. falling in love immediately they made plans for his relocation northward to Forestville. their wedding was a symbolic cosmic embrace in the throes of Millenial Fever at midnight on December 31, 1999.
