Samuelian is an alumnus of ].Steve Samuelian began his career as a Republican volunteer at the age of 14 and was the youngest member appointed to the Republican State Central Committee at the age of 18. Samuelian was Executive Director of the State College Republicans for 4 years during college and graduated with honors with a degree in Political Science from Cal Poly Pomona. Samuelain also was Co-Founder of the Young Republican Federation of California and served 8 years on the Executive Committee of the California Republican Party. Samuelian served 8 years as District Director to U.S. Congressman George Radanovich (R-Fresno) opening the Congressman's District Office and supervising District operations. Samueulian served on the Board of Director of the Fresno County United Way, Fresno Crimestoppers, and the Clovis Chamber of Commerce. He was a graduate of "Leadership Fresno" Class XVI and was elected Class President.

Steve Samuelian has received the following awards: Central California Veterans Home Support Foundation; Fresno County Rural Transit Agency Outstanding Achievement Award; U.S. Merchant Marines Fresno Chapter; U.S. Marine Corps. Samuelian defeated Larry Willey in the Republican primary and Richard Martinez, Jr. in the General Election. Samuelian was endorsed by the Fresno Police Officers Association, National Rifle Association, Madera County Deputy Sheriffs Association, Fresno Republican Assembly, California Republican Assembly, California Congress of Republicans, and Fresno Congress of Republicans among other key groups and leaders in his campaign for Assembly. He was also endorsed by the Clovis Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee. Samuelian defeated Larry Willey in the Republican primary and Richard Martinez, Jr. in the General Election.

The prank backfired and the assemblyman's office called the CHP, however, no charges were brought against the radio station or the DJs. The radio station was general criticized being tasteless and an example of reality TV and Radio going to extreme. Assemblyman Samuelian was commended for accomplishments by the full assembly. His work in bringing displaced firefighters into the master list and work in establishing a hmong history month were lauded in House Resolution 82. He was a strong supporter of hunting rights, and received the endorsement of the NRA for his 2002 and 2004(withdrew) campaigns. He also received the endorsement of the now defunct Central Valley Taxpayers, PAC.He also supported law enforcement including authoring two Resolutions that named parts of the Central Valley Highways after fallen officers. Because of his background in campaigns and elections, Samuelian was appointed by the Assembly Speaker to serve as Vice-Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Elections and Redistricting. Additionally, Samuelian was appointed to the Appropriations Committee, a key appointment for any freshman lawmaker. Assemblyman Samuelian was commended for accomplishments by the full assembly. Steven N. Samuelian was elected to the 29th district of the California State Assembly in 2002. He succeeded Mike Briggs who stepped down to make an unsuccessful run for Congress.

Background

Samuelian is an alumnus of California Polytechnic State University, Pomona.
