Civility

Hail, O Mighty Administrator! Would you mind pointing out to User:KCMODevin that civility should be observed on talk pages, even on one of Misplaced Pages's most contentious topics? Please see history/Mormonism discussion page, revision as of 10:57, 4 August 2008. I don't think this editor is likely to pay attention to one of us "non-Christians." Thank you. Risker - Although "non-Christian" Wikipedians such as myself don't often talk about our church affiliation, Bytebear (an administrator) is almost certainly a (gasp) "Mormon" and therefore not likly to be trusted by this user. A warning from an experienced administrator like the Mighty One, one not involved in LDS related articles, might help him view his action as a Misplaced Pages problem rather than a "Mormon" one. Take it to Misplaced Pages:Deletion review and argue for it there, then. You're not supposed to simply re-create a page which has already been speedy deleted, as this one was on July 25. It was with some suprise that the speedy happened that I responded to like that - it was not in any way intended to be rude - I have no case as I am not interested in pursuing this any further, and admins are the last thing on my mind for a start - this is simply a afterthought on what I will not try in future - if there was a hint of warning I would not have in the slightest thought to have written anything like that - my apologies unreservedly, I would have thought if you are in speedy land that is polite to what you must get most of the time anyways.

There are indonesian editors with limited english who havent the faintest of what you just did - I didnt re-recreate the article - If you had the time to check - I was just trying to coach an indonesian editor the issues of WP:N and WP:RS and in the middle of that process of doing exactly that with a source that can ascertain an inherent notabilty - that you zap it - I know that a number speedy deletes have occurred recently around the indonesian idol characters - and for very good reason - the average Indonesian editor hasnt the faintest about how to ascertain WP:V or WP:RS from a WP:DUCK if they had it in their hands in front of them.

I honestly couldnt be bothered going to any form of review - speedy gunners on the english side - and indonesians with limited english on the other - I should send you links into the inter - asian - ethnic debates - youd have a lot of fun there - cheers and have fun whatever you do SatuSuro 13:14, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

• I don't think savage monsters, and the like, should run for Arbcom. Arbcom members should be people of refinement, culture, modesty and good breeding - I really cannot think of anyone who fits that bill, though I'm sure if one looked there is one small humble, modest woman somewhere on the project who would fit that description, who if beseeched and implored by her friends would very reluctantly step up to the line and do her duty, in a fashion only achieved by a high born British woman. Excuse my almost complete ignorance of what the Arbcom is, but I thought the elections were every 5 years or on some similar Stalinistic chronology (or the Olympics, World cup &c). The last lot were in Dec 2007, so why are you standing now? And if you are, do you have a manifesto we can read? What is your position on obscure medieval philosophers for example?
