As of September 21, 2008, they have over 525,000 subscribers on YouTube, making them the most subscribed channel on YouTube . and the first YouTube channel to have more than 500,000 subscribers.
The "Pokémon Theme" video (removed to comply with a copyright DMCA notice from Shogakukan) received almost 25,000,000 views before its removal.
Their "Smosh Short 2: Stranded" video won the 2006 YouTube Award for Best Comedy.
