The Navigation system gives the user turn by turn directions, and also has an easily accessible MicroSD memory card slot which accepts cards up to 8GB. This enables the user to store many documents, videos, music etc. The drag and drop menu creates shortcuts by allowing the user to pick their favorite menu options and put them on the front screen or in whatever order the user would like to see them. The LG VX9700 (or "LG Dare") is LG's newest touch phone, a variant of the popular Korean and European LG Prada or LG Vu. In the U.S. it was released online June 26, 2008 and was released in Verizon stores on July 3rd, 2008. The phone features touch screen navigation, a 3.2 megapixel camera with face recognition and many photo enhancing tools, a camcorder, customizable shortcut menus and a multitask music player. The Dare also has a feature which allows the user to save a list of their favorite contacts and have quick access to them and a handwriting feature which allows the user to write numbers or letters by writing with a finger. The LG Dare is the third phone to have Rev. A technology - after the Sprint Mogul and Touch. Rev. A is the fastest technology currently offered for wireless data on cellular phones. It is considered to be Verizon Wireless's answer to AT&T's Apple iPhone, and is sometimes referred to as an "iPhone Killer."
