KFVS must use satelites for live reports more than 20-50 miles from the studio in Cape Giradeau.

KFVS-TV, channel 12, is the CBS affiliate serving the Paducah, Kentucky area. The station is licensed to Cape Girardeau, Missouri. It does not broadcast in stereo. It is owned by Raycom Media, and it signed on the air on October 3, 1954. It is co-owned with WQTV-LP, which airs UPN programming.

KFVS is part of the PaducahCape GirardeauHarrisburg TV market and covers southeastern Missouri, southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and northwestern Tennessee.
