Mark Zuckerberg became a celebrity in 2004 as soon as he released Facebook to its first universities.

Mark Zuckerberg (born May 14, 1984) is a computer programmer who is known for creating the Facebook, an online directory for students. Zuckerberg was born in Dobbs Ferry, NY and attended Phillips Exeter Academy and Harvard University. At the end of his sophomore year, he took a leave of absence and moved to Palo Alto, CA to work on Facebook with his college roommates.
