No trouts to slap with here, just giant dicks.

Hey, fellow softie!

I tweaked your edit to User_talk:Scootey#Unblock_request to put the second request back (for documentation purposes... it's not still in the category), hope you don't mind. Revert me if you need to. Cheers. ++Lar: t/c 21:18, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

That was my one good faith action for this holiday season. I plan on being an even bigger dick to live up to my self-acclaimed title. seicer | talk | contribs 01:14, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Deletion review for User:Guido den Broeder/Wikipedia, the Social Experiment

An editor has asked for a deletion review of User:Guido den Broeder/Wikipedia, the Social Experiment. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedy-deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Guido den Broeder (talk, visit) 18:19, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Where? I'm not seeing this listed. seicer | talk | contribs 18:29, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Try purging DRV. It's getting particularly bad lately. Stifle (talk) 10:03, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
I noticed you just closed the ANI discussion which resulted in the ban. Should his pages be locked and replaced with a banned user tag, as he is continuing attacks on his talk page (his user page is already locked) and removing dissenting opinion and discussion. I was about to request this on the ANI, but I don't mind that it's been closed. Yours, Verbal chat 17:18, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
At this point, Guido can appeal his ban to ArbCom via arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org, but he cannot use a proxy or sockpuppet to do this. You are correct in that editors who have been banned, are not permitted to edit their user and user talk pages. I will modify his pages to reflect this. seicer | talk | contribs 17:24, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
He says he's already email arbcom. Thanks for your reply. Not related at all: Merry Christmas! Verbal chat 17:28, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
He was going to opt for a proxy, as indicated here. That's unacceptable per policy. seicer | talk | contribs 17:33, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
And have a great holiday season as well :) seicer | talk | contribs 17:34, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Good job seicer. You deserve a beer. Cookies. Something. OrangeMarlin 17:44, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
I refuse to give anyone a barnstar until someone gives me one... and then I'll be snobbish about it. Otherwise I'd give you all one. I've also managed to avoid eggnogg (ugh), but I've developed a taste for vin chaud, so I'll offer you a vin chaud star. Verbal chat 17:47, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
A life would be nice :) seicer | talk | contribs 17:49, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Guido den Broeder

Required notice to all parties involved with the Guido den Broeder ban/block/discussion: I have appealed the ban on his behalf at WP:RFAR. Cosmic Latte (talk) 19:14, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

User:Law Lord question

If he insists on re-posting disruptive comments on his user pages, am I justified in using rollback to zap them? Baseball Bugs 03:53, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

I made a conventional reversion, and then you protected the page, so hopefully that's the end of it for awhile. He needs to do as I did awhile back, and take some time off. Baseball Bugs 05:57, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
He didn't notify me about the RFC, either, but I found out about it somehow. 0:) Baseball Bugs 06:41, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
This will be fun! seicer | talk | contribs 06:42, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
If you say so. 0:) Baseball Bugs 07:01, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
Hey, I unprotected User:Law Lord per an RFUP request, on the understanding that the controversial material not be added back in. I took a look at the RfC, and without becoming involved, it seemed that unless we're close to banning this user, there's really no way we can keep his/her user page protected. I am doing this as an uninvolved admin, and I'm not trying to step on any toes here. Let me know if you blow your top upon reading this, and we can discuss here or on my talk page. Otherwise I'll assume you're okay with this unprotection. Tan | 39 20:01, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
Oh, that's more than acceptable, Tan. It's always good to have an uninvolved administrator conduct a second guess of a situation, and I am not challenging this. Cheers seicer | talk | contribs 06:37, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
I, on the other hand, am blowing my top. It's a miracle that I can even type at this point. I will fight this to the death. On second thought, I'm not allowed to fight anything to the death. Doctor's orders. Baseball Bugs 06:57, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Tan, I posted an update on Law Lord's ban at the Danish Misplaced Pages, including relevant links. They have been forwarded to your talk page, and I have asked an administrator that was involved in the Danish incident to comment or provide further insight. seicer | talk | contribs 07:00, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
From what I can discern from the translations, the aptly self-titled Law Lord is pretty good at wikilawyering in at least 2 languages. Except for the part about getting banned, of course. Oops! I'm thinking Rod Blagojevich should bring him into his dream/nightmare team of attorneys. Baseball Bugs 07:10, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Hm. Well, I also see all the wikilawyering and general disruption this user is causing... if you need to re-protect that page, go right ahead. Tan | 39 15:00, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Law Lord

Hi Seicer

Regarding LL I'm not interested in getting involved. Earlier this year I created a Misplaced Pages article about his real person. It was later deleted, one of the reasons was that he deleted all information about himself on his homepages. (my sources). Then about two month ago I got a call from the local police, that he hat reported me for publishing private information. After a telephone interview the case was dismissed. But it have tought me to stay away from such idiots. --Broadbeer (talk) 10:29, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up and information. As much of the case was handled through OTRS and the WMF, I won't go into disclosing further information regarding the case. seicer | talk | contribs 13:14, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Regarding my edits at Šarplaninac

Hi,

I see that you have posted the 3RR notice at my talk page.

May I ask what separates me from other users, so that you have posted that only to me? Nikola (talk) 18:03, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

I have actually blocked editors on that article in the past for edit warring -- which is not necessarily restricted to 3RR violations. seicer | talk | contribs 18:18, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Your RFAr about SA

Hey there.

Could you clarify why you placed me in the list of parties, and whether you feel my involvement is such that a recusal is required? I had not noticed your original inclusion before my original answer and did not expect that the current dispute would name me as a party as I don't believe I have commented on the topic in very many months? — Coren  21:14, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

I've removed you from the list of active parties; I looked a little closer at the list (which was quite lengthy), and noted that you had participated only briefly, as an uninvolved administrator, in the blocking of SA in a related case. No recusal is required. seicer | talk | contribs 21:15, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
I see our edits crossed each other. Thanks for the clarification. — Coren  21:17, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
