Sash! is a German DJ/producer team fronted by Sascha Lappessen, who works in the studio with Ralf Kappmeier and Thomas "Alisson" Lüdke. They had a string of hits in the UK in 1997-8 with "Encore Une Fois", "Ecuador", "Stay" and "Mysterious Times", all of which peaked at #2 in the charts (in fact, they hold the record for having the most #2 singles (a total of five) there without ever reaching #1). They are still active today, but with less success. Sash! have always been acclaimed for their unique ability to create popular dance hits incorporating the music style and language of a particular ethnic group.
