I'll take a welcome. I'm here as a new user. The three indefinate blocks I've received have taught me a lesson. On my new talk page, I've even given a link and stated that I was formerly the bad user known as Adamwankenobi and you could read my old contributions. Isn't hochnäsig the same as "arrogant"? I can believe that. I'm always amazed at how pedantically written and beamtendeutschmäßig the articles at de: sound. Maybe we should start a second Wikimeeting in Berlin, for those who work more on en: than on de: and who aren't hochnäsig. --Angr/_{tɔk tə mi} 19:53, 12 September 2005 (UTC)

Well, Duden defines hochnäsig as "eingebildet u. töricht u. deshalb andere unfreundlich u. geringschätzig behandelnd", which is more than just "arrogant". "Stuck-up" and "condescending" come close too, but none of them includes the meaning töricht the way hochnäsig does. But "biased" isn't right at all; I think it's possible to be hochnäsig and still stick to NPOV. Anyway, the only other Berliner I can think off the top of my head is Netzrack.N, but he seems to be active only at de:, not here. --Angr/_{tɔk tə mi} 07:18, 13 September 2005 (UTC)

I'm pleased to let you know that, consensus being reached, you are now an administrator. Congratulations!. You should read the relevant policies and other pages linked to from the administrators' reading list before carrying out tasks like deletion, protection, banning users, and editing protected pages such as the Main Page. Most of what you do is easily reversible by other sysops, apart from page history merges and image deletion, so please be especially careful with those. You might find the new administrators' how-to guide helpful. Cheers!

Popups tool

Congratulations on being made an admin! I thought you might like to know of a javascript tool that may help in your editing by giving easy access to many admin features. It's described at Misplaced Pages:Tools/Navigation popups. The quick version of the installation procedure for admins is to paste the following into User:Lectonar/monobook.js:

je t'explique nous avons entre l'article touch rugby et Touch football (rugby league) un gros problème d'incompréhension nous avons demander un déplacement de l'article Touch football (rugby league) vers touch rugby et 2 utilisateurs arrete pas d'édditer la page de touch rugby en disant que le touch rugby ne depends pas de la FIT alors moi qui joue ce jeu je sais qu'on depends de la FIT bref je sais pas quoi faire :( Goldensun 10:19, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
