A character/reference from the PS2 series Xenosaga.
Herman and Richard are two subordinates of Pellegri and Margulis in the Ormus organization. Their first mission was to recapture MOMO. However, their attempt failed when the Realian, Canaan, interfered with the U-TIC fronted operation. Their next mission was to defend the Ormus Stronghold. Again, they failed.
Herman pilots an A.M.W.S. called the Scutum (a reference to an ancient Roman shield), while Richard pilots an A.M.W.S. called the Pilum (a reference to an ancient Roman javelin). Both A.M.W.S. are almost as powerful as E.S.
Richard appears to be slightly insane and rash. He blasted a hole in the Ormus Stronghold with the Pilum’s main weapon, in an attempt to hit an E.S. Herman once served as a Galaxy Federation Marine with Captain Mathews of the Elsa von Brabant.
As with most “engaging villains” in video games, Herman and Richard fail on all missions assigned to them.
