The University of Atlanta is a distance education online University, accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) and by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

The University of Atlanta is located in Atlanta, Georgia USA. The University of Atlanta offers fields at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree levels. The University has been the beneficiary of signs of recognition: as the first and only US-based institution of higher education approved for membership in the European Association for Distance Learning (EADL); as an approved member of DANTES, which provides funding to servicemen in all branches of the American military; as an approved member of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the only body of the United Nations with a specific mandate in higher education.
