Club Sport Marítimo B is a Portuguese football club that currently plays in the Serie A of the Portuguese Second Division. They are the reserve team of C.S. Marítimo. They play their home games at the Campo da Imaculada Conceição in the suburb of Santo António in Funchal, Madeira.
Established in 1999, the squad is essentially an Under-23 development team for the first team, who compete in the top-tier Liga Sagres, and is the only reserve team competing in the national divisions of the Portuguese league. They are restricted from promotion to the second-tier Liga de Honra, the bottom fully professional league and they are not allowed to compete in the Cup of Portugal either. Players from the first team can be dropped down to the B team though as has happened on mainy occasions, and vice versa.
