Untitled

Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) is the first greatest hits compilation by the American band The Eagles, released in 1976. (see 1976 in music).

This album was the first ever to be certified platinum for selling one million copies. It has since sold more than 28,000,000 copies and is constantly changing positions with Michael Jackson's Thriller as the best-selling album of all time in the United States. This level of success is somewhat ironic given that the album was released before, and thus does not include any material from, what is generally considered the Eagles' best album, Hotel California.
