Wow...Great to know I am one of your choosen one!! Why settle for one...I will give you two FA's, but of course, I won't promise when, since I am getting busier by the day (at least till January). As soon as I can find some time, I will work on the nanavati law case first & then work on Bangalore. BTW, check out this list. --Pamri 05:41, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

Charts you requested
I'm still not entirely certain what you're looking for in the first graph. Have a look at this graph Image:RfAVotingTrends.png and let me know if it is what you were after. For the voting patterns by day; I do not keep track of when votes are made, just tallies, so I don't have that data. I do keep track of when the nominations were made, and did a graph on that Image:NominationsByWeekday.png. Let me know if these help. User:Durin/RfA results has a listing of much of the date from June 23 forward, and shows what kind of data I am collecting on each RfA. When you're done with these images, you may feel free to delete them; I am not using them anywhere else. --Durin 20:12, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
My RFA
Thank you very much for supporting my rather contentious request for adminship, but now that I've been promoted, I'd like to do a little dance here *DANCES*. If you have any specific issues/problems with me, please feel free to state them on my talk page so that I can work to prevent them in the future, and thanks once again! Thanks very much. You are not correct in praising me like that. I intend doing meagre services. That is all. Shall do as suggested.

Shoe polish (again)
I've nominated it for FAC. Please could you take the chance to look it over and let me know what you think. I have tried to address the points you raised at its peer review as possible (and if you have that image of boot polishers ... let me know where it is?) Proto t c 13:59, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comments. Please take a look again as I think I've amended the article as per your suggestions. Proto t c 11:30, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
- The picture is great, thanks! And also thanks for copyediting. It's really hard to see errors when you've written the whole thing from scratch. If you want, give yourself a barnstar and say it's from me ;) Proto t c 13:35, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
- I've made the changes as per your suggestions on my talk page. I hope - eventually - you'll reconsider your oppose vote. Thank you very much for all your constructive criticism. Proto t c 13:42, 9 November 2005 (UTC)

Yarralumla FAC
Hi. Could you please revisit Misplaced Pages:Featured article candidates/Yarralumla, Australian Capital Territory I believe most of your objections have now rectified. Thanks. --Martyman-(talk) 03:58, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
- This is a suburb article, about a small area. It is not unreasonable to include more detail than you would about a city. I feel strongly that both the things you want removed from the article are appropriate for article at this level of detail. The embassy table is a compact and neat way of letting the reader know which embassies are located in the suburb without having to fish through Diplomatic missions in Canberra. --Martyman-(talk) 09:40, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

Thanks a ton !!!
Hi Nichalp, thanks a ton for the tip abt becoming an admin. I hope to work on a couple of articles early next month. btw, when can we change the INCOTW topic? I believe it is difficult to carry Military History of India through to FA as it stands now. Contribs hv been few and far in between. --Gurubrahma 04:56, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

India images
I'm not happy with the images in the India article. There are 3 images for the history section -- 3 images just for one topic and all 3 of them are structures. Take the example of the one for the demographic section, the caption says that Hinduism is the largest professed religion in India but the image shows a woman passing by some local Hindu temple. The image is not appropiate as it partially describes the topic concerned. Same goes for the ones on the Himalayas and the Gumpa dance. The image on the Himalayas focusses on some wood-house and not on the Himalayas in the background. One can hardly make out anything about sikkmese culture by that image on the gumpa dance. We have 3 images showing the map of India; one signifing India's location on the globe, 2nd showing the important cities in India and the 3rd showing states and union territiories. Why cant we have a single political map of India showing the states and the important cities. Also, an image on the parliament or the rajpath is more appropiate for the politics section. Thanks --Deepak|वार्ता 01:24, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- I understand. Even I'm busy with my studies and devoting time for wikipedia is becoming more and more difficult. It's not about whether we should have an image on NE culture or not, it's about whether the images describe their subject or not. I'm sure we can have a better image depicting the North East, the Himalayas and Hinduism. I went through the articles on US, UK, France and People's Republic of China and I felt that the quality of the India article was no where near to theirs. Also notice the smaller size of images in these articles. Thanks --Deepak|वार्ता 17:14, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
- I wasn't refering to the written content of the article but to the images in the article. Apologies for not making my point clear but I do hope that you'll take this matter seriously. Thanks --Deepak|वार्ता 22:45, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
Barnstar!
Why thank you Nichalp! That bit of appreciation comes at a time when I'm feeling attacked from all sides, so it's especially welcome. Hope you don't mind if I move it to my user page to show off <g>. Zora 07:35, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
Lakshadweep
I think you have removed Kiltan island from the list of inhabited islands. Is there any strong reasons to do that? Well, Kiltan is one of the inhabited islands. Please let me know what made you to remove that. Noorul 14:02, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
I am not sure that its you who removed it. If it is not you I am really sorry. That is why I used the word think. Is there anyway to find out authors who deletes some contents? If somebody deletes an article shouldn'y he put the reason as the comment? Noorul 14:02, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
A msg. for you left by Shivraj Singh on my talkpage
- Zora I have challenged your buddies and I am challenging you to prove your claim. If you cannot prove do not show your face here. Gurubrahma how do you stand her? She mentions QSQT as being relevant to rajput history. She has no idea about India claims she is a buddhist and I am willing to wager she does not even know what Buddhism is. Tomorrow she might claim "O, Siddharta was a kshatriya so all his followers including her are kshatriya's too". Shivraj Singh 04:58, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
- Shivraj, wikipedia is not a buddy forum where we form coteries. We go by credible references. Please do not be xenophobic and regard non-Indians as having little or no knowledge on India-related topics. I can recommend you a Swiss historian who can put almost all Indian editors to the sword with his knowledge of Indian history. =Nichalp «Talk»= 07:20, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

- Nichalp coterie has been formed by Zora and other muslims on rajput page. She has accused me of anti muslim bias/Hindu POV etc and I have asked her and her buddies to point out passages that support her claim and also some citations to support her refutations. None has come forth. She ridicules James Tod/Dashratha Sharma/LS Rathore as historians. Though she has not read there books. She claims Rajputs are 12 million where last census shows 40 million. She is clueless how important vansha/cula/shakha/gotra-acharya is to rajputs and calls it confusing. Lately she has been blatantly acccusing me of using pseudonyms in editing wiki. I have challenged her and her buddies to prove these claims. No response. To me she appears very partisan and totally clueless. She is towing the muslim line from the moment she started chiming on the rajput page. Some ridiculous claims: Muslims are rajputs. Ghoris descendants are rajputs. Prithivraj begged Ghori for his life. Majority of rajputs converted to Islam by musilm saints. List is really long. Shivraj Singh 16:28, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

Yup, more or less offline. But don't worry, I will be active in commons. I got hold of a digicam and uploaded some pics to commons. I will try to upload some videos if possible. Ps - most of them will be food related. :-D --Pamri 11:27, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
- Slightly stupid question...Should I keep the exif data intact when I upload it to commons or is it Ok if I strip it? --Pamri 11:28, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
- Ok. I had already stripped for some of them. Is that Ok? --Pamri 11:35, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

Wikiwoohoo's RfA
Bit of deja vu going on don't you think! ;) I'd love to be an admin at some point, but as some users have pointed out, self nominations are not looked upon favourably. I'll have to see if any other users judge me to be worthy of a nomination for adminship in time (hopefully not in the too distant future!). See you around. Wikiwoohoo 14:48, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
