His latest film, an action movie entitled '']'', is scheduled for a 2009 release. The film's producers are looking for a studio to back the project, hence it may never see the light of day.


Taimak used to co-own a gym that went out of business after three years, on the east side of Manhattan in New York city called "Fitness Concepts". He has since parted ways with the partner.
Taimak has also appeared in over a dozen stage plays, including a comedic version of '']'' in 2004 at the ] in ], and '']'' in 2006. Taimak was tapped by uber producer/director/actor/screenwriter Tyler Perry to have a part in the play "The Marriage Consuelor". How Tyler found him beats me. Anyway, Taimak turned down the role because the basketball player was a homewrecker. Taimak felt that this was demeaning and refuse to take part in this play. The weird trhing about him turning down the role was the fact he had played a rapist and a drug dealer. An insider was quoted as saying the play was "too black" for him.

Jet magazine did a "Where are they now" feature on him, not a full scale interview as he has been touting. He was quoted as saying "Hollywood does not know what to do with me". It's been 23 years since The Last Dragon, and Hollywood still has no clue what to do with this well accomplished, hitmaking, potential earner actor & that's after 23 years. His other treasured works cannot be found anywhere. He is dating a lady he met on Myspace who is also half Italian and models lingerie. The company she models for is said to be a knockoff of the Pussycat Dolls.

A remake of "The Last Dragon" (1985) is currently in production. ] will portray the character Sho'Nuff, made famous by the late ]. Taimak says he does not wish to participate in this film, although he plastered old Last Dragon posters on his myspace page to remind all of us pee ons that he was in the original.

Taimak (born Taimak Guarriello on June 27, 1964) is an American martial artist, model and actor, best known for having starred in the film The Last Dragon.

Early life

Born to an Italian father and African American mother, Taimak has studied Chinese goju, goju-ryu, taekwondo and jujutsu.

Career

Cast in The Last Dragon, Taimak had no prior acting training or experience, and was taught on set. He later appeared as the lead male in Janet Jackson's "Let's Wait Awhile" music video, Debbie Allen's "Special Look" video and on the TV show A Different World. Taimak has also worked with celebrities such Madonna. He also starred in and was fired from a play that toured the United States called Cheaters opposite a large cast of African-American stars.

He also starred in a hit Off-Broadway show in 2004 called Roadhouse The Comedy, based on the Patrick Swayze film Road House. Taimak has appeared in the 36 Crazyfists music video "Bloodwork" dressed as a White Ninja.
