Taimak (pronounced Tie-Mock) never imagined he would grow up to be one of the most beloved martial arts cult classic film stars of our time. His leading role in Berry Gordy’s The Last Dragon, in which he played the Bruce Lee wannabe in search of “The Glow”, catapulted him to stardom and a career that has spanned over twenty years. Although Taimak had no formal training and was taught on set, Taimak aka 'Bruce Leroy’ brought his martial arts skills and charm which undoubtedly contributed to the success of the film which grossed more than 25 million at the box office.

Since The Last Dragon, Taimak has appeared in a number of TV roles and over a dozens plays, including Roadhouse in 2004 at the Barrow Street Theater in New York City, playing the notable role of Dalton in this zany comedy rendition of Patrick Swayze’s 80’s cult classic film. *Taimak is happy to announce that he will be teaming up once again with the highly inventive Roadhouse director Timothy Haskell and well known playwright Eric Sanders for an original stage play to open December 2009 in New York City. Further details will be provided in Taimak’s widely distributed newsletter. Taimak recently completed a TVOne interview which will air this Fall - August 2009.

Taimak later appeared in a number of TV roles and music videos including; The lead male in Janet Jackson's "Let's Wait Awhile" music video; Debbie Allen's "Special Look" video; TV show A Different World which covered a sensitive issue occurring on college campuses around the US at that time.; ...And 36 Crazyfists music video "Bloodwork".


Taimak has also worked with a number of high-profile celebrities including? and starred in a play that toured the United States called Cheaters. To his stage credits, Taimak starred in a hit Off-Broadway show in 2004 called Roadhouse The Comedy, based on the Patrick Swayze film Road House.


In addition to his acting career, Taimak engages his passions for health & wellness by opening a gym on the east side of Manhattan in New York city called "Fitness Concepts" in 2002. However, due to time constraints, he has since parted ways with the partner but may reconsider re-opening another gym in the future. In the interim, Taimak has completed the first installment of a series of fitness DVDs - which is available for purchase from his website called "Taimak FIT (Find Inner Transformation)".
