Chigwell is an English public school in the county of Essex, south-east England. It was founded by Samuel Harsnett in 1629. Today it is fully co-educational and has over 700 pupils, aged between 7 and 18 years of age. Chigwell sits on a site of over 70 acres. William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania, was educated there.
