Heleen Mees (Hengelo, 1968) is a Dutch economist, lawyer and columnist. She has been credited as being a third wave feminist. She works and lives in New York City. She writes a bi-weekly column in NRC Handelsblad. She's a regular contributor to Project Syndicate. Since 2009 she is a TV host for Dutch Television (VARA).
