Seth Schoen is a computer programmer who starting in the 1990s was actively involved in discussing digital copyright law and evaluating encryption and trusted computing schemes. Starting in 2001 , Schoen became the staff technologist for the EFF and turned his attention to trusted computing. He is one of the lead developers of the LNX-BBC rescue system.
He is widely known for his running commentaries and papers on the above topics, including the DeCSS haiku .
