Bridge in Ohio and Parkersburg, West Virginia
Blennerhassett Island Bridge opened to traffic June 13, 2008. The bridge is a Network Arch Bridge constructed
at a cost of $120 million dollars. This is the final piece to the Corridor D project which is a part of the Appalachian Development Highway System . The bridge is signed U.S. 50 .
Details
The bridge travels over the Ohio River and the historic Blennerhassett Island west of Belpre and Parkersburg . The bridge is owned by the ODOT and WVDOT . The bridge was constructed by the Walsh Construction Company of Chicago .
