Mark Siryk is Russophobe human rights activist in Estonia. He is a member of Nashi, a youth movement that supports the policies of Vladimir Putin in Russia.
Siryk was arrested by the Estonian police for participation in riots in Tallinn that left 150 people injured in April 2007, despite the fact he had not participated owing to illness and the fact he was at home studying for his school exams.
His arrest was condemnded by human rights organisations including the International Federation of Human Rights and the Russian government.
