Hello,
I noticed your edits on the page on the Caste system among South Asian Muslims. I live in Russia, and I am interested in the history of Asia. This article was a discovery for me, since I have never heard before about this caste system.
I’d appreciate if you can answer my question. Now Al Qaeda is active in some regions of Pakistan. What is Al Qaeda’s intention towards the caste system among Pakistani Muslims: do they support it, ignore, condemn or simply do not want to intervene? --Dmitri Lytov (talk) 12:54, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Signpost updated for November 17, 2008 and before.
Because the Signpost hasn't been sent in a while, to save space, I've condensed all seven issues that were not sent into this archive. Only the three issues from November are below.
How to use this top Indian Wikipedian list for effective collaboration
Hi, I have added a section 'How to use this list for effective collaboration' on User:Tinucherian/Indians WP page to see if we can put this list to really good use, pl give your thoughts on the same and we can take it further from there. Thanks. Vjdchauhan (talk) 18:14, 6 January 2009 (UTC).
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Jeffrey Armstrong, by another Misplaced Pages user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Jeffrey Armstrong is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Jeffrey Armstrong, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click hereCSDWarnBot (talk) 22:05, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Please refer to the article "Left-wing fascism in India" authored by me. It has been nominated for deletion. Please let me know your comments. Let me know if it is really worth deletion as it is made out to be. Michonuri (talk) 09:12, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

From the editors…
The last newsletter was written a year ago. In June 2008, Indian Premier League was "hot" on Misplaced Pages, but the article about this year's IPL has attracted 477 editors, or 53% more than the previous year! Even the number of articles in the scope of our project jumped by a whopping 18,500+ articles in an year. The 3.2-year-old India quiz continues to attract old and new Wikipedians, so join in the fun!
Wikipedians are organizing a meetup in Bangalore on July 4 or 5. If you are interested, head over to the page and add your name! Topics of discussion include Indian language editions of Misplaced Pages and Wikimedia India.
"While this issue has been resolved, one asks the question – what happens when there is a conflict of opinions? What about a Misplaced Pages entry on India and Pakistan, or the LTTE and the Tamils? Who can edit? Will the information be true?" writes B. Narasimhan of MiD DAY as deeper implications of the Scientology arbitration case, reminding us of the core principles of verifiability and the neutral point of view.
