I see that the user whose IP address is 209.53.181.141 has now reversed your exchange, so that the inconsistency has disappeared. I shall try to verify the actual situation. ] (]) 16:59, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Client SMTP Authorization

Hi, somehow I missed that you edited Talk:Client SMTP Authorization back in November. I proposed to merge it into Certified Server Validation in April, and did this now (June). I'll move your older proposal to Talk:Certified Server Validation and redirect the talk page. --217.184.142.58 (talk) 22:05, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Stereo recording

Re your recent exchange of vertical and horizontal in Gramophone record - this creates a discrepancy with other sentences in the article, particularly two in the same section:

... a stereo cartridge reproduces the lateral grooves of monophonic recording ...

and

... the "difference" signal is usually of low power and thus less affected by the intrinsic distortion of hill-and-dale recording.

Both of these imply that the vertical (hill-and-dale) is the difference, and the horizontal (lateral) is the sum. Other sections in the same article also have similar implications, as does the article Phonograph. Redrose64 (talk) 13:16, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
