However this has protected a contentious, non-stable, non-consensus version of this guideline, rewarding edit-warring tactics, contrary to WP:PREFER. Andy has not responded to request to change to the pre-edit war version. Can this be done now? Otherwise a false and misleading version of the Naming convention will be the one users see. This page was protected indefinitely six months ago following its merge into Anthropological criminology, to prevent users recreating it. However, the consensus for merging Race and crime into the latter article no longer exists, and I’ve created a draft of the article which is no longer redundant with Anthropological criminology. (Redundancy was the original justification for the merge). I’ve contacted the protecting admin, and he suggested that I make my request here. Excuse me, but the declination is BS. I tracked down the admin who placed the "indefinite full block" on the article (I think it started with a 'k' but I'm not sure), stupidly forgot to write it down, but on his/her talk page, it stated that he/she didn't want ANY comments placed there and provided a redirect to this spot. So please contact the admin FOR US since you are such Wikiwizards and provide us with some reason and common sense instead of arbitrary pass the buck nonsense! Unprotection, This page is semi-protection it is only a few ip users who are vandlising the page and it all ways the same ones. some of the edit's from the ip's are helpfull in some way. I have been watching the page for some time now since it was protected last time and it was not realy vandalised, just edit's without references, and switching last names was the only problem i encountered. I'm confident we can remove the semi-protection now and give the ip's another chance.
