Joe Francis (born April 1, 1973) is the founder of Mantra Entertainment, which produces the Girls Gone Wild and Guys Gone Wild DVD series. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1995 with a double major in Business Administration and Film & Television Production. He founded Mantra at the age of 24, which produces mostly adult films. He has appeared on Howard Stern's radio show in 2002 and again in 2003, and has also appeared on The Man Show.

According to a recent Radar Magazine article, Francis was recorded on tape in sexually humiliating positions, while at gunpoint; he was then subsequently black-mailed. The LAPD currently has said tape - which will take stage in a related court case, scheduled for early 2006.
