HBC NameWatcherBot Seems to be Logged Out

HBC NameWatcherBot appears to be operating fine, but signing as an IP. Probably logged out.--Unionhawk 22:51, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Oh dear, I will need to add a nagios alert for that. Chillum 23:19, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
On second though I have blocked the IP from anonymous editing for 1 year. It is a static IP and I have every intention of keeping the server and thus the IP for at least a year. That will prevent it from editing while logged out. Chillum 23:26, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

tweaking the nipples

Somebody appears to be deliberately creating numerous accounts with user names with "nipple" in them as some sort of test to see if they will be blocked. There has been some extensive discussion on the subject at ANI recently, and whoever is doing this is likely responding to that. None of these accounts are editing at all. I was wondering if we could get the name watching bot to delay reporting "nipple" user names until they have edited at least once. Thanks Beeblebrox (talk) 23:04, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I will add that flag. Chillum 00:07, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
done. Chillum 00:09, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Thank you! Beeblebrox (talk) 00:15, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Do you really think this is appropriate?

--Malleus Fatuorum 06:11, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Yes, it was full disclosure. Chillum 16:04, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
I sure don't. I prefer to deal with people who are either on peyote or puffing on a hash pipe. If I don't see some evidence of a hookah on this page in the near future expect an MfD no, a thread at ANI no a RFAR a nasty note on Jimbo's talk page on the subject. Beeblebrox (talk) 14:30, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
I am sorry, I was hoping my username(a type of smoking device) would make it clear to everyone that I regularly smoke herb. Chillum 16:03, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Strange how some are so upset by the sight of a shaved pubis, but quite relaxed about the public and implicit encouragement of class A drug taking. --Malleus Fatuorum 15:30, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Who knows what these innocent cubes of sugar may contain
Sorry, I am a bit confused, what exactly do you find offensive about me dropping acid? Also, how is me doing something equal to encouraging others? Also, didn't I defend your shaved pubis?
Seriously though, the whole world does not have the same hysterical paranoia about drugs that the US and UK share. Malleus you are as always welcome to draw scrutiny towards any on-wiki behavior of mine. If you think I have in anyway disrupted the encyclopedic project then please do something about it.
I really do appreciate you watching my talk to and looking for any opportunity to correct me. In the future it would be nice if you only enforced the standard the Misplaced Pages community has set forth and not attempt to enforce your local drug laws/beliefs. (Oh, and all the drugs I do are class A, I have no time for the b grade crap) Chillum 16:03, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Question

What editing do you do when on drugs? What is the closest proximity of you taking a drug to you making an admin related decision? Do you ever use your secondary account while on drugs? Ottava Rima (talk) 16:30, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

What a ridiculous question. RxS (talk) 16:33, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
