Emerald Editor
I am currently developing Crimson Editor and would like the content of Emerald Editor userfied so I can use it. I will be creating a redirect from Emerald Editor to Crimson Editor since Emerald Editor is not presently notable. Bridgeplayer (talk) 15:38, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- There is nothing worthwhile there for you Bridgeplayer. The entire article reads
Emerald Editor is to be a an open-source replacement for Crimson Editor licensed under the GNU General Public License. Crimson Editor was opensourced on December 29, 2006, but it is built with MFC and therefore is tied to Windows. Emerald Editor will be multiplatform. It is about to start the design phase.

The Raunch Studio
deleted as advertising? I think
Please tell me what I have done wrong the page that I included the article in was for Recording `studios in London" I thought it was ok to name my own studio here/ I am sorry if this breaks rules I saw all the other studios mentioned and added mine? many thanks Phil
- Not done. Misplaced Pages isn't a place to advertise. Spartaz 11:06, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
Spartaz you do not address his objection. He is saying that all other studios have their page on Misplaced Pages. If true, this would put Misplaced Pages's fairness and credibility into question. ShereKhan92.251.70.39 (talk) 19:12, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

This page was deleted via PROD, and unfortunately I did not see the notice at the time.

SamCERA
I wasn't even notified that it was going to be deleted, and didn't get a chance to protest or refute.
It took me a lot of work to setup that page, please restore it. I don't understand the reason for deletion in the first place.
Here is the reason: 14:59, August 18, 2009 Lifebaka (talk | contribs) deleted "SamCERA" (Expired PROD, concern was: unnotable organisation)
I don't know what "unnotabel organisation" is? SamCERA has been around for over 65 years.

Participatory democracy
I added a reference on this page on November 28, 2009. It relates to my opinion that the concept "participatory democracy" is in fact a pleonasm! Indeed, according to me, democracy demands participation by the citizens. I justify this opinion in an article which I placed in the section "external references".
Now, somebody erased it on November 29, 2009 explaining that "Misplaced Pages is not a place to disseminate your own papers"!
- First, I would have appreciated being informed by this person when he(she) unilaterally decided to erase my contribution. He(she) could also have asked me why I feel this inclusion is usefull for all. Am I not supposed to be a responsible contributor?
- Second, does the fact that I am the author of this added reference prevent me automatically from being authorized to insert it? If yes, it is rather strange!
Best regards,

LEO Learn Enrich Optimize
The article was nominated and deleted under "section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company". The Money Masters
I am not sure why this article was deleted, but it was about an important documentary that points out exactly who in the world controls our money supply in North America. This article should not be deleted, there is no reason for it to be deleted, and it is important that the article stay up so as to further educate the American people as to how to solve our problems of inflation, debt, and financial crisis. There are a multitude of other articles which summarize similar documentaries:
http://en.wikipedia.org/Zeitgeist,_the_Movie#Zeitgeist:_Addendum

Along with many more that I cannot possibly list within this message. It is to my understanding that Misplaced Pages prides itself in the free education of all people, so please, PUT THIS ARTICLE BACK UP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. REMOVE THE RESTRICTIONS, AND ALLOW THE COMMAN MAN TO SEE THE ARTICLE ONCE AGAIN.
- Not donethis was originally deleted through a deletion discussion so this isn't suitable for REFUND. See Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/The Money Masters. If you want this back you will need to present a decent sourced draft to DRV. Since this has been recreated several times by a banned user I suspect the bar will be set higher for this one. Spartaz 17:32, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, I am a new user on this forum and I do not know how to work any of the functions, or rules, on this site, and I want you to tell me personally why you think this article should be deleted. I would like to ask you if you have seen the video, because, in my humble opinion, this video needs to be seen by everyone, and I have withdrawn from my humble dredges of everyday life to ask you why this article has been deleted, and why the video doesn't deserve to get an extra 100,000 hits on the general internet as a result of this article. Again, I am asking this independent of all Misplaced Pages opinions and rules. I am an independent supporter of this video, and am not affiliated with the video or its creators. I am simply an independent, concerned citizen. Please send me a reply AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. JChuchman 07:34, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

In the Spider's Web
I found , , , and . This was deleted by CSD because it was created by a banned user. Deleting articles by a banned user is not a good thing to do if the subject is notable. Joe Chill (talk) 16:05, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Don't understand why Wide Area Multilateration was deleted
Wide Area Multilateration - This page was deleted with the following reason: "A tag has been placed on Wide Area Multilateration, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article." The article simply described a technology, much like other pages that describe technologies (see "Multilateration", "TCAS", "ADS-B"). It does not promote a company, product, group, service, or person. If it was deleted due to lack of references, please let me know as there are a number of additional ones that can be added.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ludmilovna (talk • contribs)
- I don't see the unambiguous advertising here, so your best bet for an answer to this is to ask either the person who requested deletion, Ironholds (talk · contribs), or the deleting admin, Fastily (talk · contribs), if they can give you more information on this. HTH --Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:52, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

David Cole (revisionist)
First, I must admit right up front that I have never seen the deleted article. It was very short-lived (about a week from establishment to deletion, and the User that established it was similarly short-lived). I was surprised today when seeking an article on the subject, whom I regard as notable, and finding none. While I am not David Cole, nor have I ever met, seen, spoken to, or knowingly corresponded with him in person, I have some knowledge of what an accurate article on this subject would have contained. His work is very controversial, such that a person whose POV opposed Holocaust revisionism would favor suppression of information about him and his work. Most of his work is currently viewable on YouTube.
I reviewed the Discussion of the Deletion (3 weeks ago), and I was struck by something about the four votes to Delete: one was from the person who apparently tried to initiate the Deletion; two others were from Users now permanently blocked, of which one was a sock puppet for a User permanently banned at that time; and the last was from a User whose contributions I have some previous familiarity with whose NPOV in matters involved with the Holocaust I regretfully find questionable.
I request that this article be restored. If it is restored, it may confidently be expected to be Nominated for Deletion in very short order, at which time perhaps a more judicious consideration of the nomination may be undertaken.--Joe (talk) 15:50, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Since David Cole (revisionist) was deleted as a result of the discussion at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/David Cole (revisionist), this is not something we can unilaterally restore here. If you think the discussion was closed in error, talk to the closing admin, JForget (talk · contribs), and then if you still aren't satisfied you can take it to deletion review. (But talk to JForget first, because if you don't, deletion review will kick out your request.) HTH. --Fabrictramp | talk to me 00:48, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Nimi Visuals
Greetings, luckily Polish Misplaced Pages Users help me to find this page. (via Polish equivalent of this page) I would like to appology for my English - ain't native, and my wiki system using skills aren't that good(that's why I used Polish page to get help to navigate here)
One of the administrators (if I understand correctly) deleted added by me entry on software I'm one of developers, using some speedy procedure. It made me really worried and concerned as in past I recall entry was checked (when I was updating entry I saw this in history) and I don't recall any problems reported earlier. I always tried to write objective, giving reference to written content and focus on overall overview. Just how I find encyclopedic entries in Misplaced Pages - I mean informative and not out from nowhere. By so it's hard for me to believe that whole entry would be matching this category - and I always thought that before deletion entries are discussed or something. I'm very willing and cooperative User (I'm developer overall) and I always prefer civilized solutions rather than other.
Entry included history, it's features, references in press and websites etc. My most concern is caused as it is only such software on its platform - there is only one commercial equivalent from what I know on its platform, and from what I noticed some of the Users of other platforms aren't fans of it (overall it's effect engine). I've tried contacting with User whom deleted this entry - without much result - humbly asking for more detailed explanation of this removal and eventual suggestions how it should be written to be available on Misplaced Pages. Unhappily I didn't get any response.
Furthermore, it made me even more worried as I googled and found - that this User (I'm just saying what was in Google results) involved into similar situations in past.
I would really greatly appreciate any help in resolving this matter I would really like that it would be at last mentioned to be existing on Misplaced Pages, especially as I always tried to be a good (maybe not extraordinary active) member of Wiki community.

- I can't say that I see the unambiguous advertising, but we do have the issue of conflict of interest. Since you are one of the developers of the software, it will be just about impossible for you to write about this in an unbiased manner, and the English Misplaced Pages strongly discourages you from writing about subjects where you have a conflict of interest.
- I only see that you contacted the deleting today, and s/he has not edited since December 30. Admins are all volunteers, and many are enjoying the New Year's holiday with their families, so you may need to give it more than just a few hours for a reply. If you can't work it out with the deleting admin, you can always take it to WP:DRV, but you will have an uphill battle there because of the conflict of interest. Page was deleted twice. Once for PROD reasons of BLP1E, and another for BLP concerns. I request that the first version be restored. Although she dated Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (the supposedly 1E), she is notable in her own right as a news anchor for KVEA in Los Angeles. However whatever (talk) 19:30, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
- Not done If a long paragraph about the scandal, and a shorter one about her other "romantic relationships" with "other (named) well-known Los Angeles based California politicians" were removed (from the first version), what would be left would be a three-liner saying where she was born, educated, and worked. I don't think just being a news anchor is notable - see WP:ENTERTAINER. This article was more suitable for a gossip-sheet than an encyclopedia. (This was the right place to ask for undeletion --WP:Deletion review would be the next step if you want to pursue it). JohnCD (talk) 16:46, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

One Last Shot
The article on local Syracuse, NY band "One Last Shot" has been deleted despite it being factually based and used as a resource on the bands website as a place to go to learn about the band. There were no facts on the page that we wrong, inappropriate, or frivolous. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.106.202.197 (talk • contribs) 17:55, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Done As the article was deleted by the Proposed Deletion procedure, restoration on request is automatic. I'm not sure the "history" section qualifies as "not frivolous", but that's by the way: the point is that just being correct is not enough, to have a Misplaced Pages article a subject has to be notable, the standard for bands is set out at WP:BAND, and I'm afraid, with their first EP yet to be released, One Last Shot don't make it (yet). So I have started a deletion discussion at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/One Last Shot. These discussions normally run for seven days; you are welcome to comment there, but before you do, please read WP:Notability and WP:Notability (music). JohnCD (talk) 20:44, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

This article concerns a well known painter. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexandre GASTAUD (talk • contribs) 06:24, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- The article gave no indication that he was notable in Misplaced Pages's sense, which is not a matter of opinion but needs to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Can you provide independent references? JohnCD (talk) 12:08, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Here are some links: Artprice auction records, AskArt auction records, Critic 1, Critic 2 (in french)--Alexandre GASTAUD (talk) 13:25, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Done I have restored it and marked it "under construction" which will protect it for a few days while you add references. These may save it from speedy deletion, but I'm not sure they are enough to save it at an WP:Articles for deletion debate: if you can find more, it will help. The standard you are aiming for is WP:CREATIVE. JohnCD (talk) 22:45, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Sanmesh Kalyanpur
The article pertained to a National Bravery Award winner in India who is perhaps one of few Indians to win both the Bravery Awards viz. Prime Minster's National Bravery Award and President of India's Jeevan Raksha Medal.
Links to all newspaper articles were also provided. I would hence be interested to knwo why the page was deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mkalyanpur (talk • contribs) 10:53, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Not done The article was deleted as a result of a deletion debate at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Sanmesh Kalyanpur. If you want to challenge that decision, you should take it to WP:Deletion review. If you are related to the subject, please read WP:Conflict of Interest. JohnCD (talk) 11:30, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- I should have added that your first step should be to approach JForget (talk · contribs), the administrator who closed the deletion debate, and invite him to reconsider his decision. If he is not willing to do that, then you should go to WP:Deletion review. JohnCD (talk) 11:40, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
User:RedPolly/Etersoft
The page User:RedPolly/Etersoft was created as a draft. The name of the page "User:Redpolly/..." is an analog to the "Special:MyPage/..." in Russian Misplaced Pages. So the page was in development, but I haven't saved the copy. So I'd like to ask if the text of this article can be restored as Special:MyPage/Etersoft.
- Not done. User:RedPolly/Etersoft is quite correct for the name of a user sub-page - "Special:MyPage/Etersoft" is just a shortcut to get the same result. But that subpage was deleted per WP:CSD#G11 as an advertisement, which is not permitted even in user space. If you want it back, you should talk to Lectonar (talk · contribs), the admin who deleted it. JohnCD (talk) 17:20, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Could an administrator restore the old deleted page history? The article was deleted in 2007 after an AfD, and has now been recreated with sources showing notability. --Apoc2400 (talk) 14:30, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
MoneyTV with Donald Baillargeon
The article above was a concise and complete description of a long running, internationally broadcast television program. I cannot understand why the article was deleted, nor do I agree with it being done.

Hi. My name is Darlene. Could you please undelete Kinderdance International, Inc.? All information was out of Essence Magazine and Entrepreneur magazine. - The article was deleted as a result of the discussion at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Kinderdance International Inc, so we can't unilaterally restore it here. You already have a copy at User:Nuncscio/Kinderdance International Inc, so your best bet is to make changes that you think will address the objections brought up at the deletion discussion, then post a request for feedback at WP:FEED. our mountain
I am the global manager of the band "our mountain, I need this page undeleted for overall awareness purposes, I am confused as to why it was deleted in the first place? Please help.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Myrtles (talk • contribs)
- For the deletion reason, you might talk to Deb (talk · contribs), the deleting admin. While it's a bit of a judgment call whether the article met the speedy deletion criteria or not, I can't find evidence in the article or through a google search that the band meets the requirements of WP:MUSIC.
- Since you are the manager of the band, you have a conflict of interest in writing this article. Misplaced Pages strongly discourages working on articles where you have a conflict of interest, as most humans have an extremely hard time writing unbiased material in that situation (and an even harder time recognizing that their writing is biased). Music is extremely well represented on Misplaced Pages -- wait until the band meets the requirements of WP:MUSIC and someone will surely write a new article. However, Misplaced Pages is not the place "for overall awareness purposes" -- myspace, facebook, and your own website are ideal places for that. - Done I've restored Lin Sue Cooney as a contested prod. However, the sources in the article don't currently meet the requirements of WP:BIO. Take a few minutes to read WP:BIO and WP:RS to get a feel for what the article needs -- if sources aren't added soon, it could easily end up at articles for deletion.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 15:37, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

- The article is not currently deleted, just proposed for deletion. All you need to do is edit the article and remove the deletion template. However, it would be a good idea to also address the issues mentioned in the deletion proposal (WP:Notability and lack of sources independent of the subject), or the article could end up at Articles for deletion. I have been attempting to locate an article that I had contributed to back in March of last year. This contribution was on an individual that I had been studying in the Jewish community of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who is a proponent of civil rights and Russian immigrant.
I cannot seem to locate anything except for a picture that I had uploaded; I cannot even determine who the administrator was that deleted it to attempt to recover my work.
Can you please restore this article to my account so that I may attempt to satisfy the guidelines of Misplaced Pages?
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Newsbeuter
The deletion discussion can be found here, but the most salient points were that the article lacks sources and notability. Well, I've found a few sources for it. Here are a few of them: or , , . Hopefully at least enough to get the article reinstated so it can be built upon. They're not the best sources in the world but hopefully enough to satisfy the notability complaints; and more will undoubtedly come along over time. I'm looking to give some love to all of the Linux-based news reader articles (Liferea is extremely well-documented in the tech press, for instance, but its wiki page lacks any web cites at all!), and it's a shame to see articles neglected this way. The addition of Newsbeuter would make a great addition to Misplaced Pages's coverage of news aggregators. Thanks for your consideration--Xyiyizi 19:45, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
- Since this was deleted via a deletion discussion, we can't unilaterally reinstate it here. However, we can move it to a subpage of your userpage so you can add the sources that you think will address the objections and get some feedback on it at WP:FEED. Let us know if you'd like that to happen.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 21:07, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
- (edit conflict!) As the article was deleted at AfD, we can't just restore it without going through WP:DRV. Instead, I have restored it into the Incubator at WP:Article Incubator/Newsbeuter where you can work on it. When it is ready, in order to avoid it being tagged WP:CSD#G4 as a repost of deleted material, it would be sensible to approach the closing admin from the AfD, JForget (talk · contribs), and get his agreement to restore it to the mainspace, or alternatively to take it to DRV. JohnCD (talk) 21:12, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the assistance, chaps! I'll get right on to editing the incubator piece and make enquires to the closing admin. --Xyiyizi 21:36, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

MULTICUBE
I'm writing asking the undelition of the page MULTICUBE.
MULTICUBE is a FP7 research project which relevance is thus recognized by the European Union which is funding the related activities.
Anymore, the research activities performed are today documented from many publications which number is destinated to grow with the following of the project:
http://www.multicube.eu/publications.html
The research project involves many academic institutes:
- Politecnico di Milano (Italy)
- University of Cantabria (Spain)
- Advanced Research and Learning Institute (Switzerland)
- Institute of Computing Technology (China)
And other industries and research centers:
- DS2 (Spain)
- STMicroelectronics (Italy and China)
- IMEC (Belgium)
- Esteco (Italy)
The topic is thus relevant not only from the academic point of view but also for industries. The application of related design techniques have been proved useful for speeding up the design of advanced embedded electronics. Among others activities, we developed 2 open source design tools which are today available as prototype version and will be soon (within a month) available with a more complete release.
The wikipedia page might help people on finding these tools and understanding the underlying techniques. Thus the page is useful for a wide community of engineers and students which are working on related topics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marianig (talk • contribs) 15:30, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- Not done MULTICUBE was deleted as part of Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/MULTICUBE FP7 Project, so this isn't something we can unilaterally restore here. If you think the project meets the requirements of WP:Notability, I'd suggest writing a draft following the instructions at Misplaced Pages:Article Incubator. (There wasn't really any content in the prior version worth saving). This will give you more time to work on it, and let you get feedback on whether the article meets the notability requirements before moving it into the main encyclopedia. I've just created an aricle but it was deleted in 2 minutes and I even had no time to set references, this for example: http://www.artnet.com/artist/587815/leopoldo-romanach.html And there is a number of articles in Wiki relating this:

Wild Pockets
It was deleted due to an apparent lack of notability. I wish to have the article undeleted/userified(?) because Cirt suggested that I continue on a draft in my own userspace. This way, I can continue to edit it and propose it for a complete undeletion later when I feel, and hopefully Misplaced Pages feels, that the article is ready to be published with notable references. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrjpark (talk • contribs) 03:48, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
- I have restored it for you into the Article Incubator at Misplaced Pages:Article Incubator/Wild Pockets where you can work on it. As it was deleted after a deletion discussion at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Wild Pockets, you will need to get the consent of the deleting admin, User:Cirt, or if he does not agree take it to WP:Deletion review, before restoring it to the mainspace.
