Die Antwoord
Musical artist

Die Antwoord (Afrikaans: "The Answer") is a Zef-Rap band from Cape Town, South Africa consisting of Ninja, Yo-Landi Vi$$er and DJ Hi-Tek.

Die Antwoord made their debut in 2009 at Ramfest, a yearly music festival outside Worcester, Western Cape, South Africa where they performed their song “Doosdronk” with punk rock act Fokofpolisiekar and rapper Jack Parow.

The band self-identifies as a melange of several diverse cultures all mixed into one. Because of their race, they have been compared to American rappers Eminem and Vanilla Ice. The band has signed with Netherlands music company Magnetron Music and is planning to tour Europe and Scandinavia in April 2010 and the USA later that same year. They announced via their website that they will be visiting France, Belgium, The Netherlands and The UK as part of their tour, however, the tour has been put on hold indefinitely after band member DJ Hi-Tek went missing in January, 2010. Tracks from their upcoming album $O$ are currently streamed on their official website to preview the album.
