Welcome!

This user is a member of WikiProject Florida, which seeks to expand information about the state of Florida. Please feel free to join us.

Greetings and salivations. Please let me know if you've been following my edits over the various and sundry pages of Misplaced Pages. Ta! P.F. Bruns 05:14, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Don't edit the change, thank you.

Okay. Boomshadow  contribs 05:13, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

hello...

I've noticed that you've been working on some Tampa-related articles lately. Thanks for the burst of energy - the Tampa wikiproject has been dead in the water for some time and somebody needs to get things going again. One day, perhaps I'll continue my efforts to get the Ybor City article up to featured status. Someday...

On a completely non-wiki note, I went to HS with somebody named Perry Bruns but I get the impression from your user page that you're probably far too young to be the same guy. My Mr. Bruns was Jesuit HS c/o '88, fwiw... Zeng8r (talk) 23:33, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Howl-O-Scream (Tampa Bay)

I've noticed your various small improvements (like this one) to this article. I know it's based on your interest in Tampa Bay, but the entire franchise is in bad shape, and I have proposed that the best way to deal with the problem is to merge them. If nothing else, I hope you would consider adding your thoughts!--otherlleft 00:46, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your thoughts - think you could repeat them at the merge discussion?--otherlleft 20:49, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Minor edit conflict between IP user on Movie Page '7 Seconds'

I was watching this movie on USA this morning and decided to look up info, finding that an IP user made an edit against one of your own. I reverted another one of his a few minutes ago because it looked incredibly unprofessional. Have a good one.

List of Forgotten Realms novels

"The Spellswords" is not the name of an FR novel series, whereas "The Sellswords" is. Please review and reconsider your reversion. Thanks. 24.148.0.83 (talk) 04:17, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

It's OK - The Sellswords is indeed legit. :) 24.148.0.83 (talk) 04:21, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Your rollback request

Hello Boomshadow, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism/spam/blatantly unconstructive edits, and that using it to revert anything else (by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with) can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning, depending on the admin who becomes aware of any misuse. If you think an edit should require a reason for reverting, then don't use rollback and instead, use a manual edit summary. For practice, you may wish to see Misplaced Pages:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 00:52, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Use of WP:HG

Please do be careful with the use of WP:HG. As stated, it is or dealing with vandalism, and I am somewhat puzzled how you could interpret the edits to floral banded wobbegong or Orectolobus reticulatus as vandalism. • Rabo³03:45, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

My edits

Please explain why my edits were reverted, as they were good faith and constructive to the coherency of the article. . Thanks. 62.64.187.76 (talk) 04:33, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

yuba city charter school

i think you were wrong to delete this as i did hold a unbias point of view and i do go there 5 days a week.Halfwite 04:11, 3 February 2010 (UTC)ῼ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Halfwite (talkcontribs)

I appreciate your efforts, but if you are a student there, then your edit violates the spirit and the letter of WP:OR and WP:NPOV. We need information from widely known and trusted sources. Examples include newspapers of record, such as the New York Times, Washington Post and the like, or television news networks. Please consider sources such as those when editing Misplaced Pages. Are you typically in the practice of removing sourced content and returning unsourced content to articles as you did ? MM207.69.139.142 (talk) 03:09, 5 February 2010 (UTC) (Copied to userpage) You pulled quite a lot of content where perhaps a "citation needed" tag would perhaps have been more appropriate. It was a judgment call, partially because you are editing from an IP address. Please consider starting an account. Boomshadow  contribs 03:11, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Citation needed tags like the big one that has been at the top of the article for over a year? or the little ones within the article that have been there for 3 years? MM207.69.139.142 (talk) 03:18, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Yes. Again, it was a judgment call, particularly since nothing on the discussion page differentiated between the content you deleted and other content. Please consider using the talk page in future to be more specific about what content should be deleted based on lack of citation. You deleted quite a lot, and again, from an IP address, and one that has been blocked before. Please consider creating an account. It's not a requirement, of course, but it is a good idea. Boomshadow  contribs 03:23, 5 February 2010 (UTC) (Copied to userpage)

As a "judgement call" do you think it would be a good judgment for you to return the sources to the article that you removed? Or will you bring up "edit warring" if I do? MM207.69.139.142 (talk) 03:30, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Do whatever you think is right. Boomshadow  contribs 03:32, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Fellowship Party

I provided a summary, you have reverted the changes again. Explain, please. 86.151.65.5 (talk) 03:28, 5 February 2010 (UTC) Your edit includes defining the Fellowship Party's stance as Socialism. If anything, based on the text, it is Communism, but either is more a topic for debate, and therefore, the talk page. Your grammar is also wrong; "of" is not needed after "advocates." Please use more care, and consider creating an account. Boomshadow  contribs 03:31, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

No, the text in question is the dictionary definition of socialism. The wording is very specific - it is the definition you see when you look up "socialism" in the Oxford English Dictionary, and the wording inserted into the Labour Party's constitution when it adopted socialism in 1918. And "of" is indeed needed after "advocates" because advocates is being used as a noun in this instance. I have been editing wikipedia for seven years without creating an account, as is entirely in keeping with wikipedia policy and practice, and won't be creating one any time soon, thank you. 86.151.65.5 (talk) 03:35, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, you too. 86.151.65.5 (talk) 03:40, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

you removed "and tom cruise" from infobox but you left "and the sarah silverman program" anyway... gb --79.131.171.164 (talk) 23:44, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

A&M terms

I appreciate your vigilance in protection from vandalism. However, in the case of this particular contribution, it is accurate. It simply needs sourcing (despite the "repeating characters" tag). — BQZip01 —  01:08, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

reverts on Human Rights in Cuba

I think we were reverting over each other here, the IP editor added the word 'crap' randomly several places in the article, and it appears you added it back in after my revert. I went ahead and re-reverted, but I thought you should know so we don't get into an edit war here ;) Joshua Scott (talk) 01:42, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Is it realy vandelism to state the USA currency of an object?Witeinkρεβῼ ΜιλάωΚοτσάνι 04:31, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

When you're talking about it costing $547,100, yes. Boomshadow  contribs 04:33, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Not arguing, but wouldnt it have been easier to correct the mistake asi have the currency converter in my other tab and it says what i stated. And i stated $571"."100 not "," .Witeinkρεβῼ Μιλάω/Κοτσάνι 04:35, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Good to see that everyone keeps a good perspective on mistaking a period for a comma. *Sigh* Boomshadow  contribs 04:42, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
I'm not going to argue but i am going to ask that you tell me the cause of my error with the report So that i may correct it and learn from my mistakes. i did not think that was vandelism.Witeinkρεβῼ Μιλάω/Κοτσάνι 04:45, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Either way, you are going to get a warning. If I were you Boomshadow, I'll smack his edit with failure to cite a verifiable source.--Tyw7  (Talk • Contributions)   Changing the world one edit at a time! 04:47, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
I'd be happy to if I could even keep up with the constant edits on my own page. Boomshadow  contribs 04:52, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the quick vandal revert

Seriously. Mind you, "your retarded" certainly put me in my place. I don't know how I can possibly respond to such wit ... — Gavia immer (talk) 04:50, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

You're welcome. Boomshadow  contribs 04:52, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

I'll stop now, thanks for the warnings. (Feel free to delete this section if you want to). --Fr0z3nf00l (talk) 05:05, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
