Bassian is village in LUDHIANA district, state PUNJAB in INDIA. Bassian is situated on Raikot-Jagraon road. About 5 kms. from Raikot in Ludhiana district. It is among the largest villages in Punjab. History: According to a legend the village was first inhabited by three men. They were a Jatt - Uppal, a Muslim - Gujjar, a carpenter - Plaha.
