== Serious civility issue ==

LoS, making misrepresentations and lying about another editor is a very serious civility violation. I know you are just reverting, but please self revert your undoing of my changes. If you review those coments you will see that my statements are not being accurately represented. This is unaccpetable. I will not stand for being lied about. Please revert yourself and investigate FIRST. This is a very serious issue. Ryan can talk shit about me, apparently, but he's not allowed to lie. I've corrected it and it needs to remain corrected. Thank you. ] (]) 03:34, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
:Hey, CoM, if you need to correct what he is saying, you can do it by stating what is erroneous in his remarks and what is true. No, of course he is not allowed to lie about you. However, you can not go about correcting people by just changing their remarks. I'm afraid you are digging more and bigger holes for yourself by going about things in the manner you sometimes do. (BTW, I am explicitly not commenting upon the truth or fallacy of either version of the comments.) ]of] 03:41, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
::I corrected statements that were obviously untrue. He is not allowed to slander me. Please self-revert or get an Arb clerk to remove those statements until they can be reviewed properly. This type of dishonest misrepresentation has been very damaging to my reputation and I will not allow it to continue. Slander is wrong, the civility policy is very clear about lies, and they need to be removed ASAP! As in NOW. ] (]) 03:46, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
:::Well, I see you've already gone to ] to request an arbitration clerk's assistance. ]of] 03:50, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
::::Actually, what I think could be most beneficial to you is to point by point using direct quotes and diffs show exactly where he is incorrect in what he says. If he has lied about you, and you show that to be the case, he will be seen to have been in the wrong. If you just change his remarks though, people will see that behavior on your part and be likely focus on it instead of the substance of what was changed. Do you see what I'm saying here? ]of] 03:55, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
:::::I am a living person. So there are BLP issues. There is also the civility policy to consider. Our policies are very clear. Slander is not allowed. Those statements are obviously untrue and they cannot be allowed to stand. They need to be corrected or removed immediately. There is no gray area about this very serious issue. ] (]) 03:57, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
::::::Are you going to self-revert? Are you disputing that I'm being lied about and misrepresented? ] (]) 04:22, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
:::::::No, I'm not going to self-revert. No, I'm ''neither'' disputing nor affirming that you have been lied about or misrepresented. As for that, I may look at what was exactly said in more detail tomorrow, but I can not do so tonight. (It is late, I'm tired, and I have to be at work in the morning.) Until I've had time and mental energy to examine the statements, I will not affirm that anyone's version is accurate. I do encourage you to use the quotes and diffs though. ]of] 04:34, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Hey Aleta, need a watchful eye from you

Long time! I came after adding a photo to a musicians' biography page named Capleton. Apparently there are strong feelings about anti-gay sentiments (and allegations that he advocates the killing or harming of homosexuals). Seems like POV on both sides, though there his anti-gay stance is referenced. I reverted someone who reverted my addition to the article. All I did was remove the Jamaican flag from the infobox, add a new photo, and move the older one down, but I think it had something to do with anti (or pro) gay issues. Would you look at it, the last few contribs (and reverts) to the article and see maybe if it needs semi-protection, or whatever is done in such cases? I'm not interested in editing it or anything aside from adding the photo. I'd appreciate it. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 19:46, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi Leah, I don't think semi-protection is justified at this point. The IP's most recent contribution, which you reverted, was certainly not acceptable having some unsourced or poorly-sourced (to a blog) negative information on a BLP. I've added it to my watchlist and will keep an eye on it for now. LadyofShalott 04:32, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! --Leahtwosaints (talk) 23:31, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

My Jewel

Would you be willing to help me out by moving this article to my userspace? I saw it mentioned on the Food project page, and it seems like something that would be worth mentioning in one of the apple articles at the very least instead of just leaving deleted. I noticed it investigating hitlerszalonna, which seems pretty interesting. I'm not sure it's pumpkin. Several translations I've seen say it's fruit or plum. I'm trying to ask a couple of editors who speak Hungarian to weigh in. Cheerios. Cheese dream got 8,800 views. :) ChildofMidnight (talk) 17:59, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Done User:ChildofMidnight/My Jewel I hope you can find out something about that Hungarian food. LadyofShalott 20:03, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks LoS! Much appreciated. Could you please do the same for Mermaid problem? It seems like it was an interesting article, but had some synth and OR problems. Maybe there's a way to include the content appropriately? ChildofMidnight (talk) 21:19, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
Oh and I'd also like to have a look at List of the occult secret societies and it's histories. I will rename is to user:ChildofMidnight/List of secret societies or you can save it that way straight away if that works. I think that's it... at least for now. ChildofMidnight (talk) 21:25, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

User:ChildofMidnight/List of secret societies LadyofShalott 21:30, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks very much. Some other editors have expressed an interest in those subjects, so we'll see what happens. Let me know if you have any idea on the "Mermaid problem". It's a bit of a stretch as a stand-alone I think. Mythological conundums? I'm hoping someone will step up over whether pumpkin is an accurate ingredient for the fruity szalonna. And I was also trying to figure out what an elongated cube is called? Like a cylinder. Or a tetrahedron. Parallelagram? Maybe once the grease clears my thinking will improve? Have a good one. By the way, I didn't take any offense over the merge idea for cheese dream. I think it's best as a stand alone. And with the can of whoop ass thing, the whip poor will thing I just stumbled on and thought it was kind of cool. I wasn't making fun or anything. I just liked the name and the bird song. I wonder why they're called whip poor wills. IS there such a thing as a whippor? Anyway, I'm babbling even more than usual, so it's probably time to get offline. Cheerios. It's good to see you're onboard for the BC2011. Way to beat the rush! ChildofMidnight (talk) 22:26, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome. An "elongated cube" is a rectangular prism. (A tetrahedron only has four faces, and a paralleogram is a type of (two-dimensional) polygon.) Have you ever heard the call of a whippoorwill? The name is imitative of the call. LadyofShalott 22:46, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
LoS did you even look at the link I posted in my original comment about the Whippoorwill? It was to an audio recording of the song. It didn't sound like Whippoorwill to me. But the constellations don't look a whole lot like what they are supposed to be either, so there you go. Of course I'm not into medicinal herbs... Maybe I'm too down to earth?
By the way I got a laugh out of your gluttonous comment, which I just noticed. I had actually checked on the spelling of the word and thought I fixed it, but it must have been edit conflicted out because you beat me to it. I hadn't even noticed before now that you got in ahead of me and fixed it. And here I was all proud that I caught the mistake and made sure it was corrected (since it was right there at the top of the page!) Are my article being autoreviewed? I haven't gotten a speedy nom or prod in a long long time. :( ChildofMidnight (talk) 06:31, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
I'm not seeing any link to an audio file. Am I overlooking it? I'm glad you got a laugh from my edit summary comment. I hope that makes my beating you to correcting it worth it. As far as I know (I haven't checked), you don't have autoreviewer status since you keep turning it down. Maybe your articles just seem to be on notable topics lately. Oh and to your earlier comment, I'm glad you didn't take any offense at the merger proposal for cheese dream/cheese sandwich. Honestly, before that article, I'd never heard the term "cheese dream" - it was just an open-faced cheese sandwich. I still think it could all be one article, but it's not something I have any desire to do wiki-battle over. I need to get to sleep. Bonne nuit. (I wonder what the Hungarian for that is.) LadyofShalott 06:45, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Your archives seem to start at Jan. 19, but this page only goes back to Feb. 24. Where is the stuff inbetween? ChildofMidnight (talk) 18:06, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

OK, there was another archive link that needed to be added; it's there now. LadyofShalott 21:17, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
Doesn't the link at the top of this page produce the song of the Whippoorwill? ChildofMidnight (talk) 02:39, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
Well, apparently so. However, it apparently makes more than one kind of sound. Listen to #2 on this page. LadyofShalott 20:54, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Thank you - that made my night! :) LadyofShalott 06:07, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Re:

Hey there! You changed your name? :O I've commented there as per your request. ;) I would say Frikipedia is notable in Spain, but only because the SGAE tried to close it down. It was on all the news though, even I heard about it while it was going on. Everything the SGAE does get a lot of attention, especially weird things like trying to shut down a wiki because someone badmouthed them. :P Anyway, I'll watch the afd in case further clarification/sources are needed. If you need anything else, yell. ;) Cheers Raystorm (¿Sí?) 14:53, 4 March 2010 (UTC) Btw, it was me who hailed you in Twitter. ^^

Good deal - thanks Raystorm! Thanks also for letting me know that's you on Twitter; I was wondering! Yeah, I changed my name last year after an outing event (not that it really makes a difference since I am keeping the same account, but...). LadyofShalott 19:13, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
I hope it wasn't as bad as it sounds like... :O Raystorm (¿Sí?) 01:27, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi LadyofShalott, I noticed that you had deleted a page called ImaGem before, and I want to write the page. Seems the problem last time was it was written as an advertisement? I plan on it being purely informational, I just wanted to check in with you first. Teva3 (talk) 15:03, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

That's fine with me. LadyofShalott 19:15, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! Hopefully this page will better meet the requirements of Misplaced Pages. Would you be willing to review it also to talk about any issues that come up? Teva3 (talk) 15:39, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Absolutely. In fact, you could start it in your user space if you like, to make sure no one else deletes it before it's in really good shape. Either way, just let me know. LadyofShalott 20:51, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I've started the page in my user space under Article Practice. Feel free to have a look, I'm open to suggestions and any help you may have for me. :) Teva3 (talk) 21:13, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for this, LadyofShalott. No, you're not stepping on anyone's toes, and this user, Texaspi, is actually doing some good work. See you around, Dr Aaij (talk) 00:42, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

You're welcome - glad it was useful! LadyofShalott 04:52, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
