Herman Brookman was a prominent architect in Portland, Oregon. His work includes Commodore Hotel (Portland, Oregon), Frank M. Lloyd Estate (Fir Acres) (1926), Alan & Barbara Goldsmith House (1959), Victor and Marta Jorgensen House (1929), Grace Kern House (1955).

John Yeon trained in his office. The Harry A. Green estate designed by Brookman was put up for sale in 2006.
