Cristiano Ronaldo (Full Name - Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro; Born Febuary 5th, 1985 in Madiera, Portugal) is a Portugese footballer who was bought by Manchester United in 2003 for £12.24m.

Widely regarded as one of the premier talents in European Football, Ronaldo orignally played for Portugese team Sporting Lisbon, a team famous for producing Real Madrid star Luis Figo.

Able to use either foot and play on both sides of the pitch, he attracted the attentions of Alex Ferguson in the summer of 2003. Now plying his trade for the English giants, Ronaldo has earned a good amount of praise and criticism for his flashy style of play and dribbling tricks.

Named for United States President Ronald Reagan.

Made his International debut in August 2003, versus Kazakhstan.
