All is not lost; membership in a notable band is sufficient to be inelligible for speedy deletion; I removed the tag. It may still be deleted after WP:AFD, but it's around now and if improved may survive an AFD challenge. Carlossuarez46 02:42, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Category:Jazz rock albums
Jazz fusion is just an umbrella genre for various subgenres, such as smooth jazz, jazz rock, crossover jazz and free funk. Somewhat like jazz is just an umbrella genre for bebop, hard bop, dixieland, free jazz, etc. Jazz rock is a legitimate subgenre of jazz fusion, and therefore shall remain. Seems this guy is throwing his weight around and threatning people with bans for edits that he cites as "vandalizm", could you back up his claims by looking at what he reverted for each, or is he abusing his power? Thanks in any case. I dont like being warned for something as mundane as Living Next Door To Alice

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ultimate adventure.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ultimate adventure.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 05:00, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
User Box
Hey dude, I tweaked your user box. You had a syntax error in there that was messing up the rendering on your user page. Only thing that looks like it's not included is age. Feel free to leave, tweak, or revert if you like. - Dave C. —Preceding comment was added at 16:21, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

- 1st Policy, "Reasons for deletion include but are not limited content that does not belong in an encyclopedia. It is clear that this content would not be found in encyclopdia. 2nd,Misplaced Pages is not a directory." The current form of the article is nothing less than a stub of the word. 2 for starters. 3rd LAW, speech has limits, one is social good. This may be more advanced for some of the users on wiki as I am sure many have not studied law. I saw you tagged the above article for csd with the comment that "it is a vanity page". It is generally not a good idea to use the term "vanity" when describing articles about people for a couple of reasons. First, it is accusatory and discouraging and kind of bitey to new users. Second, calling an article "vanity" could be a defamatory assertion unless you can clearly show they were responsible for it. Just some friendly advice. Please let me know if you have any questions. Welcome to Misplaced Pages. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Dark Star (film). When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. stop listening to evolutionists. they don't know what Kind and Species means. darwin's book is called origin of species ...... (a really long title) Species evolves but the Kind cannot. a Dog can only produce a Dog. the Dog is the Kind. the Scottie dog is the Species. it can produce another Scottie or something else. here watch this u might learn some truth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mni-SRtG7xY or http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2528412371399195162
im sure u wont. your a nazi. all ways has an excuse to do evil and be evil. your heart loves sin more then anything in the world. that's why u cant handle the true definition of evil.
evil: One who thinks of himself and put himself before others. why: That is what you do when you commit sin, that is one of the reasons why they are sin. G1 tagging
Hi there. Could I please remind you to tag pages for deletion under the G1 criteria only if they clearly meet the criteria? For example, Neil thormann should have been tagged as G10, not G1, because that would have given it a much higher priority on the deletion scale. Anyway, hopefully, you can tag things correctly next time. Thanks in advance. - NuclearWarfare My work 04:55, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Invitation to Meetup/Seattle6, a focus group
Hello. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington (Seattle campus), and my group is reaching out to Wikipedians in the Puget Sound area. We're hosting a focus group designed to gather information on what Wikipedians would like to know about each other when interacting on Misplaced Pages. Our end goal is to create an embedded application that helps people quickly know more about others' history and activity on Misplaced Pages, and we feel our design will be much more useful if it's based on insights of users like you.
I'm hoping that the chance to help out local researchers, to engage in lively face-to-face discussion with other Seattle Wikipedians, and to contribute to Misplaced Pages in a new way will entice you to join us. The session lasts 2 hours and snacks are provided. Sessions will be held on UW Seattle campus - directions will be sent after registration. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated!
Willing and able to help us out? RSVP here. Want to know more? Visit our user talk page . Please help us contact other local Wikipedians, too! Commprac01 (talk) 21:27, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Dec and Davis
- Re: Talk:Francis E. Dec, I've reposted my rationales from scratch for the benefit of a new person, so maybe we can restart the discussion on a better foot, since I still don't understand why the four words "Not unlike Ed Wood" would be worthy of declaring war on my talk page.
- Re: Miles Davis' "The Little Blue Frog", I have a proto-stub for it at the top of my user page (and some scholar documents that should help it pass WP:NOTABILITY and WP:NSONGS, since separate articles about a single song are usually not allowed). If you should want to work on that or contribute sources/references, I think it would be a better use of our times. Regards, — The Little Blue Frog (ribbit) 17:26, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Why can I not create a page about me if I'm a well known person around my area? Easter
What religious feast in the Christian liturgical year (the phrasing used in the article) is arguably more important than Easter? Nothing in the Roman Catholic year, nor the Eastern Orthodox year, nor on any liturgically-minded Protestant churches, that I'm aware of. Ben (talk) 12:38, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

I tagged the article because 1. I don't know her :) And 2. Misplaced Pages was under a lot of vandalism at that time. I may have just roughly glanced through your article and thought it might be another "fake" article.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Tyw7 (talk • contribs)
Warning Vandals
Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Misplaced Pages:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. -FASTILY 01:03, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Warning signs reply.
I do accept if the page is in an early stage but when you come across something that can be solved, there's no need for like "this page has to be neutral" or "this page needs references". Believe me, I don't know anything about using those terms. If there's something that can't be solved like "the story is too long", you can put it in there so the editor knows what can be done so you can take that warning off. That is something you can learn from me, but I do appreciate your comments anyway and I'm open to solve anything at all and maybe learn something from it. Qicks Hoax?
What is there about Qicks that makes it a blatant and obvious hoax? Note that if one must do research to determine if something is a hoax, it is probably not blatant enough for speedy deletion. DES 06:06, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- IMO a lack of Google hits makes a hoax probable, but not blatant. i have removed the speedy tag. I will generally only accept a hoax speedy for an "article" that is clearly self-contradictory or absurd. (for example I deleted one recently that said the subject was born in 1996 but climbed Mount Everest at age 23, which would require a time machine.) If there is even a small chance that this is soemthing obscure bur true WP:PROD will do the job, IMO. DES 06:25, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
How is making an article that goes along with a joke a bad thing.
You said, Wow, I don't even know where to begin, on the talk for Yu-gi-oh abridged, in response to my article. first off, I really have, in fact seen the series. I was making up a story and an article to go along with the joke on the episode where they say "according to Misplaced Pages, we don't exist." incase you didn't notice, other people have deleted articles on Misplaced Pages that claims that the series does exist, because it goes with the joke. May I ask you, what is wrong with making an article that does the opposite.
