Prince Willem-Alexander (born April 27, 1967) is the eldest son of Beatrix of the Netherlands and Claus von Amsberg and the first male heir to the Dutch throne in over 100 years. He married Maxima Zorreguieta Cerruti on February 2, 2002, upholding the tradition in the Dutch monarchy of choosing a controversial partner.
