Everybody Draw Mohammad Day

This article is a stub.

Everybody Draw Mohammad Day was a suggestion put forward by a cartoonist in response to the threat issued by radical Islamists against the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, for making an episode that had Mohammad in it. The threat, carried on U.S.-based website RevolutionMuslim.com, said that they could wind up like Theo Van Gogh, the Dutch filmmaker who was murdered by Muslim extremists for depicting Muhammad on his show. The logic is that if millions of people draw pictures of Mohammad the terrorists will not be able to murder them all and will realize that their jihad is unrealistic.
