Zangilan (Zəngilan) is a rayon of Azerbaijan.
In 1920 Zangilan along with Lachin and Kubatly were part of Azerbaijan. By Soviet Union collapse these regions were included already in Azerbaijan SSR . After the Nagorno-Karabakh war the Rayon became under the control of Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army and was included into the Qashatagh Rayon.
